DB said we were "cnuts" and that Bruce was 1000% right
I was wrong, it would seem.

That should be your username.
Didn't you agree with DB in this thread though? Ye both hold the stance that Bruce was dead right.

I agreed with Bruce's stance, but for different reasons to Dreamy.
I did not think we "acted like cnuts" though.

Did anybody notice the comments by Roberto Martinez yesterday regarding Birminghams pursuit of Manny Figeuroa (sp). He said that he was disgusted by Steve Bruce's tapping up of his player, it was a disgrace and he would report Bruce to the League. Pot/Kettle etc.

Basically, every team does this, United did it with van nistlerooy and subsequently had it done to them over Ronaldo. We've done it with Ziege and had it done with Alonso.

It's even happened to barca with Figo.

The only team I can think of whoever never lost a player this way are Madrid.

Maybe Robinho? There was a bit of a long running saga with him and Chelsea in the summer.

Hmmm... barking up the wrong tree since Bruce doesn't manage Birmingham?

Good point, my mistake, it was Sunderland he was referring to obviously but Bruce was the main focus of his complaint.

Sunderland move for Spurs skipper Robbie Keane will allow Kenwyne Jones to join Liverpool

Tottenham captain Robbie Keane is to join Sunderland in a £10million deal that will spark a transfer merry go-round in the final 36 hours of the window.
Keane has been allowed to move to his third club in a year after falling behind Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe in the pecking order at White Hart Lane.
Ironically, he rejoined Spurs on the final day of the January window a year ago when he was sold back to the north London club, where he has been team captain, by Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez at a £5m loss.

Keane's departure, which takes the total spent on him in seven major moves in his career to £80m, will breathe new life into what has been a quiet window.

The 29-year-old's arrival will allow Sunderland boss Steve Bruce to sell Kenwyne Jones to Birmingham or Liverpool. If Jones ends up at Anfield, Holland winger Ryan Babel will move to St Andrew's.

Didn't Roberto Martinez say went he first took over at Wigan how he didn't like how Fergie and his goons (fat sam, big heed etc) ganged up on Rafa? I wonder if his is him having a dig at one of them.
Every prem club taps players up, Bruce was a fool to make such a big deal out of it.

Wigan are a selling club. Look at how they delt with Man U going after Valencia.
What, by getting the best possible price for him?

What the fuck is a "selling club"?

Players come in at lesser clubs, prove themselves in the Premiership and attract the interest of the bigger teams. Putting a label on a natural occurrence of events is just mindless.

Bruce managed to sign two very good players with the promise they could leave if the big clubs came in and paid a lot of money, which they did. In the mean time they had two decent players on their books - what's there to be critical of?

Buy inviting bids for him, thus they are a selling club. You need me to draw you a picture?
Every club in Wigan's position is a "selling club". Their stance doesn't really enter into it.

Exactly. Didn't they get 16 million for Valencia? Would any club outside of the top 6 refuse such a big bid? It's not like Wigan are making a fortune on gate receipts, is it?

Valencia wanted to leave to further his career. Of course they had to listen to offers when Man Utd came in for him. You're proving nothing here.

And no, a picture won't be necessary. If you're as shit at drawing as you are at spelling then it'd be indistinguishable anyway.

Are people trying to argue with me by agreeing with me? Thats pretty moronic. But at least we all agree that I'm right.

Well your Not making any bold claims, Foxwold.
If you want to be pedantic about it, every club is a selling club. Big fucking deal.

I may be jumping the gun here, but I think the general consensus is that you're talking out of your arse.

And Stu, I never said it was a big deal. If you should be saying that to anyone it should be the gaggle of posters that tried to jump down my throat over fek all.

Very few clubs in the Premiership aren't "selling clubs"
