Deserves his own thread I think.

Souness, I think, made the point that Hendo ran more than anyone yesterday. His work rate really gives us the space and time for the likes of Luis, Gerrard and Studge to do the damage.

He was magnificent and well and truly on the path towards greatness - if he can add the odd goal he would be priceless.

bows to new Binny....

can we get back and applaud Hendo!

Yeah Jordan did really well in midfield. Barely gave Fellaini and Carrick and inch.
Felt that his passing could have been better.

Had three key passes though and also set up Allen who then got a penalty.

I think Flanagan probably deserves a thread of his own too. He's been doing very well.

He's a very underrated attacking passer. I hope our opponents don't realize how good he actually is in that, and keep focusing on just Coutinho or Sterling when we play them. Let them think it's okay to let him have the ball. He's only our 2nd best creator of chances afterall (according to Squawka stats).

Agree completely. The way he weighs some of his through balls reminds me of Xabi. He's very much a confidence player, but no better man than Rodgers to play under.
Most generally underrated player in the league if you ask me.

Rodgers saying his is a contract they'll look to renew in the summer. Good, deservedly so, however if the rumours about his very large wage when he joined were right, maybe not with to much of a pay rise.

I'll hold my hands up and say that I was one of those thinking he had to go but he has performed well lately.

So well worth another contract - the kid is growing into a decent lad.

I love his attitude and he really has been a breath of fresh air this season. I hope he can add more goals to his game but if we continue playing in the same vein he won't necessarily need to. Compliments everyone around him and am glad he was given his chance.

Anyone who doesn't like Henderson hates babies.

An ode to our favourite lamb, sung to the tune of "London Bridge is falling down":

Henderson is gambo-lin',
Gambo-lin', Gambo-lin',
Henderson is gambo-lin',
'cos we scored ag'in!

He was very good again last night and if he continues his current trajectory, and has enough belief in himself, he can be one of the world's top midfielders by next season.
