to be honest I'll miss the guy. the commentary for the CL final with gray is 10X better than the commentary given by ITV (at least it's the sky version in my collection).

There is no way Fat Sam could do Andy Gray's job
He was a bit of a tw@t, but quite honestly sky games will miss a bit of his character. His commentary on some of the big Gerrard goals, the arguement with Redknapp over Mascherano incorrectly walking at OT amongst other things stand out. Funny thing is there wasn't really a set of fans in the country who didn't thing he had it in for them.

I like Andy Gray. Don't know what went on behind the scenes, but it seem a bit silly he got sacked over this.
He's the best 2nd commentator Sky have and his passion for the game is clear for all to see. A poor move by Sky. I think i'll have to turn the volume off if they move Alan Smith anywhere near the main spot.

I don't know, maybe i'm a misogynist, but I really don't see harm in that joke either (thought it was more flirtacious than anything). His comments the other day were ill advised and silly (though I found Key's tone when he said "do me a favour love" a lot more offensive) but I really don't think Andy Gray is a sexist on the basis of 2 clips.
Maybe he really is, as again, I don't know how he conducts himself behind the scenes.

Are people honestly suggesting that Gray was suing Skynet or whatever over the phone tapping thing and that Sky decided to teach him a lesson for his disloyalty so this was a whole set-up involving Keys, who will not be fired because he was secretly following orders to get Gray to say something on tape so that this could happen?
