Shouldnt sexism be classed the same as racism? Sack em both.
[/quote]

They won't though. They seem untouchable to me*. Listen to Keys response when challenged on it. Overtly casual about it all. It's really quite pathetic.

*Hopefully I've grossly misjudged the situation and the twats are goners.

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

"Shaggy" HAHAHAHAAA, that was brilliant !

Fucking hell, I don't know how I'm going to cope now that I've reached the summit of Mount Hilarity.

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

keys: 'do me a favour, love'

hahahaha! what a prick. fingers crossed this'll build momentum and they'll be sacked. i might even contemplate paying for sky sports again if that happened.

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

Who is that multi chinned old tosspot who commentates with McManaman on ESPN?

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

Richard Keys: Well, somebody better get down there and explain offside to her.

Andy Gray: Yeah, I know. Can you believe that? Female linesman. Forget what I said – they probably don't know the offside rule.

RK: Course they don't.

AG: Why is there a female linesman? Somebody's fucked up big.

RK: I can guarantee you there'll be a big one today. Kenny [Dalglish, Liverpool's manager] will go potty. This is not the first time. Didn't we have one before?

AG: Yeah.

RK: Wendy Toms.

AG: Wendy Toms, something like that. She was fucking hopeless as well.

RK: [exasperated groan]

AG: [inaudible]

RK: No, no, it's got to be done, it's good. The game's gone mad. See charming Karren Brady this morning complaining about sexism? Yeah. Do me a favour, love.

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

Haha #LADS.

Its funny as fuck and if it leads to both getting the boot then it'll be even better!

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

SKY should dump Keys & Gray and replace them with Merson & Dean Windass. It's the safe option as if they ever say anything offensive nobody would be any the wiser.

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

I don't like Keys and Gray either, and they have never been friends of Liverpool FC. However, I refuse to rejoice in their current embarrassment, because that would be handing a little victory to Political Correctness. Why the hell should women want to officiate in men's football matches? The young woman who ran the line in our match did OK, but why was she there in the first place?

It brings to mind this passage from Boswell's "Life of Johnson:"

"I told him I had been that morning at a meeting of the people called Quakers, where I had heard a woman preach. Johnson: "Sir, a woman's preaching is like a dog's walking on his hind legs. It is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all."

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

What's pc got to do with it?

Doesn't really bother me if they are as good as their male counterparts.

They were bitching for the sake of it.

I would have thought a football official should be judged solely on their ability to officiate irrespective, of gender.

And god knows there are plenty of shit male ones.

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

They have apologised and that will be the end of it.

As it should be really. Its not really a big deal is it?

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

i dont mind andy gray's analysis but his commentary is fucking shit! Keys is a smarmy bastard and needs sacking off at the first oppurtunity!

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

I agree Andy Gray knows his football and his analysis is good, but it always seems to me as if he harbours a dislike for Liverpool FC, which would not be surprising considering he is a former Bluenose. This comes out when he is co-commenting on Derby matches. If Everton have an unsuccessful penalty appeal against a Liverpool player, Andy will keep on re-playing the incident and tut-tutting, whereas if Liverpool appeal for a penalty, Andy tends to brush it aside.

Amused to hear Kenny Dalglish began today's presser by asking Sky's @VinnOConnor if he was ok with a female journo being in the room

I agree count. Though the SJ quote is a doozie portly.

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

Is it really a big deal that men of a certain generation are not comfortable with women in football?

And the rest. He criticises 95% of decisions going our way and always supports the ones which don't. It isn't important, but it is annoying.

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

Its Keys i cant stand out of the two, at least with Gray you know he is a football man through and through and for all his anti Liverpool bias he still recognises quality when we put on a good show, he is not impartial, not at all but thats forgivable considering he is a Blue.

Keys with his pre-scripted shit stirring agenda is the one i cant stand, i don't mind if he is sacked at all, since he's shaved his hands he's not even comical to look at.

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

I wouldn't have a second commentator full stop.

And when they do, surely they're meant to be there to explain what is going on, yet a trend seems to have developed whereby they are constantly expressing their opinions. Who gives a shit about their opinions?

Re: Gray and Keys caught out

I'd be more concerned if they said something insightful and non-bias.
