Good to see the FA are as fair and even as ever.

By the way babel deserved a fine for his funny picture as a professional footballer he should not have posted that.
It goes without saying Rooney should have got a red and fergie is a hypocrite no doubt.
As are the useless muppets at the fa they (I'm not comparing the two) banned thatcher for 10 games after his assault on Mendes but didn't do anything about this. Cowards useless morons aaaand it's just another example of fat suited morons messing this game up

I will say, Thatcher's assault was on a completely different level to Rooney's.

Calm down Asim.

Ferguson said: ''The penalty kick was so soft. Deary me. But we played very well. It was a great performance by us. We didn't deserve that. That's three years in a row [at Stamford Bridge] referees' decisions have changed the game.''

On the Luiz decision, he added: ''It was incredible. Even before that he'd done Chicharito off the ball. He'd done him late. Nothing done, the referee's in front of it.

''He does Rooney clear as day, (the referee is) six yards from it, he doesn't do anything. That changed the game. These are decisions that change the game. And he's going to be refereeing every week.

He really must believe the shite he's spouting; I don't think anyone can be so lacking of self-awareness

The man is the biggest hypocrite in football pure and simple. Yesterday he maintained Rooney's innocence in the McCarthy incident saying that Clattenberg came out of it with most credit. Last night he basically called Atkinson an unfair referee.

Let's play Martin Atkinson V Mark Clattenburg watch....................

They both referee'd United in the last week, let's see how long it is until either man refs them again. Just a hunch that Clattenburg gets the gig (way) ahead of Atkinson...................not that I'm suggesting for one minute that the FA always try and appease Alex Ferguson.

I had forgotten how brutal that Thatcher hit was until I just watched it now. Surely that was assault? Didn't Duncan Ferguson get sent down for head butting a player on the pitch?

Once I'd have doubted that and said the man's simply a loudmouthed bully asserting his mental dominance over everybody around him. Now I'm not so sure. He's been coming it with this garbage for so long that it wouldn't altogether surprise me if he now believes it.

Incidentally what he's said about last night SHOULD get him a disrepute charge. Don't hold your breath waiting though.

Surely going head to head with a ref after you've been sent off warrants an increased suspension?

*holds breath*

It's ridiculous. The amount of evidence stacked up against United and Fergie in the last week should be enough to make the FA embarrassed by their complete refusal to punish anything remotely associated with United.

The Rooney elbow.

The public questioning of Atkinson's credibility as a ref.

Vidic and other United players surrounding the ref, Vidic going head to head with the same ref.

Fergie is the lowest of the low. It's great being a winner, but having to go to these lengths to go that extra yard just makes their whole superiority in football seem vulgar and corrupt. He's a fucking scumbag.

The way people fawn over him is sickening too. Didn't he celebrate some sort of anniversary recently? Anyway, people (whether connected with ManUre or not) were lining up in the media to prattle about "what he's done for football". AFAIC what he's done is coarsen it beyond belief by his behaviour and by the way he's got his players to behave. "For football" my hairy @rse.

Aye.

Keane on Haaland, Cantona's kung-fu kick, Ferdinand 'forgetting' the drug test and Rooney just generally being a cock. Yeah, that's the epitome of a manager instilling respect into a player.

United escaped cheap yesterday based on their own standards.

Lets look at the Rooney incidents. They have for years clamed its nothing when Torres have been capped down from behind by Vidic and Ferdinand. They even applauded when MAscher was sent off for adressing this issue to the ref. Should it all in a sudden warrant a red just because it happens to Rooney instead?

The penalty. Crystal clear. Smalling make a small move with the left fot and bring down Zhirkov. To hear that thi swas cheap for people applauding the pen Berba got is pathetic. Just ignorable.

Giggs. His only involvment yesterday was bringing down Drogba (I think it was him). No interest for the ball, just a rash challenge to the players foot. Pretty much the one Cole got sent off for against Arsenal, which warranted a clear red in their eyes.

The Vidic sending off. Clear sending off. Should probably been given earlier. However the situation starts outside the box, but clearly he dont let go until the player is in the box. To judge by the Valencia penalty against MAscher that should have been a penalty in addition to the red card. So they escapes by their own standards.

No the can fuck off and wine about Atkinson. Unsporting arseholes the bunch of them. Make Contador look like a fair play canddate!

I was shocked that the ref actually gave a penalty against them. When last did that happen?

Well it did NOT happen when Vidic took a fair grip in Vand der Vaarts shirt and hung on to it over ten meters inside their box.

Exactly my point. They never concede penalties despite infringing consistently against the opposition.
