Good to see the FA are as fair and even as ever.

Rafa was perfectly correct and the only fucker with the balls to say what needed saying.

In fact, he had more !

Rafa was 100% correct in what he said, and I've never bought the easy assumption that him coming out and saying it had anything to do with our results dropping off afterwards. The connection between the two was Rafa's stubbornness, which made him come out and say these things when everyone else was too lily-livered to do so but also made him stick to plans and decisions, such as picking Lucas in CM, which he should have abandoned.

Of course Rafa was right about his 'facts'.

But that was never the point; it was that anyone and everyone could see (save the most important person) that it was going to blow up in his face once our results began to turn to shit, which was exactly what happened.

History will show Rafa as a man with huge balls.

Unless history is written by News International.

I doubt the facts made the slightest bit of difference to our form.

Sky love "mind games". They big them up and try to keep them relevant, when they're largely bollocks.

Quite. And Avvy, the fact that Sky decided to say stuff like "blown up in his face" doesn't make it true.

I don't know if Sky said it,Jules.

But I did.

I also doubt I was the only one who thought his dossier was going to come back and haunt us.

Our form obviously bore no connection, but all Sky and Fergie's minions had to do was wait.

I quarrel with the whole concept of "haunt us" though. In what way? What effect did it have? Whoever said it, it's a mirage.

I don't agree that it's a mirage, Jules.

Rafa was spot on 100%, of that I have no doubt.

Conspiracy is a strong word, but I firmly believe that Fergie's methods of bullying, cajoling and bribery have earned him and the Mancs huge support from all sections of influence; the FA, the referees, the media...everyone.

But Rafa's timing was horrendous; the dossier should have only been revealed once we were in a position of strength, because the moment, the EXACT moment we began to falter EVERYONE knew what was going to happen. Fergie would say Rafa had lost the plot, the FA or the media would insinuate that Rafa's 'rant' was aimed at disguising his own failings and inadequacies in the transfer market or in tactics or whatever.

The worst result was that Rafa's accusations, all of which were true, would be swept under the carpet where they've been festering and rotting ever since.

I firmly believe that there's only ONE Liverpool manager who could successfully do what Rafa tried to do, and he's the boss now.

But the effect of the previous dossier now means that the timing has become even more critical, and we dont have the strength to do it now.

Rafa didnt either, and his team was far stronger than ours is now.

That's fair enough Jules, I do think in the end it attracted unwanted press attention, it was great at first when he said it but the press and other clubs then utilised it to make it look like just another Rafa rant. He was bang on anyway.

I can't see how the FA can't act upon this really... what Ferguson said was much worse than what Babel tweeted.

The stats that Jan posted doesn't show a particular bias to United really. At their place, they will have more of the ball and will usually be the side attacking. Having said that, Webb's award of 5 pens seems like a lot... so I think the FA should owe Babel an apology.

If this doesn't activate his suspended sentence then the FA will demonstrate their complete impotence.
