It is officially the halfway point of the season we have played 19 games and have faced every other team in the league once.

Of the top 9 (excluding LFC as the 10th) teams in the league, we played 7 away from home in the first meeting.

Of the top 7 teams who I would consider our main rivals for a top 4 place (Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Man United, Tottenham, and Newcastle) we played six of them on the road meaning of course we get to play 6 of them at home the rest of the way.

This could be a huge advantage for LFC in the second half of the season!

By comparison:

Man City still have to play 6 of the top 7 away from home.

Arsenal still have to play 4 of the top 7 away from home

Chelsea still have to play 2 of the top 7 away from home

Everton still have to play 4 of the top 7 away from home

Man United still have to play 4 of the top 7 away from home

Spurs still have to play 4 of the top 7 away from home

Newcastle still have to play 3 of the top 7 away from home

Probably the 65th thread to make the same point.

We're still fifth and 3 points off eighth

No offence to the original poster but if I hear "we've played 6 of the top 8 away from home and bar Utd, they've all got to come to Anfield" again, I'm gonna fucking scream.

It's like people are assuming it's an automatic 3 points from each game.

I think we will win 3, draw 1 and lose 2 of the home games myself.

Everton - Draw
Spurs - Win
Arsenal - Win
Man City - Lose
Chelsea - Lose
Newcastle - Win

On the flip side we are 1 point off 4th and just 6 off the top.

If we had jumped forward in time from August to this point none of us would be complaining would we?

I'm with @Piedro. This is bullshit talk. Some of the best sides are gonna stuff us at anfield. We just haven't seen how easy it is yet.

We're fifth, halfway through the season. We will probably finish the season there or there abouts.

EAT MY FACT
