From a German Liverpool fan on another site;

Liverpool: Gomez hat Interesse"

In the story his agent states that when a club like Liverpool are linked to a player then they can't just cast this from the table. He went on to say that Gomez needs to be playing football and he won't have this opportunity at Bayern.

This story has got legs it seems. If we're getting him on loan, then we can sign another winger or something..

Agents talk - I don't listen.

After Lavezzi and Remy's agent going to town in the press it's hard to swallow anything agents say about these days.

Would be a marvellous bit of business could we get him on a loandeal freeing cash for other areas as well.

Has got a lot of the attributes we're looking for in a striker and he can with right guidance become a very prolific striker in the Prem indeed.

I really like the idea of Gomez at Liverpool.

It seems as though Hodgson's idea of someone that can play with Torres is a big man to produce knock downs for Torres to run onto.

That article is 4 days old though, if Van Gaal has told him he won't get many games, things change..

Fair enough.

Hopefully you're right.

He doesn't just say "thanks but no thanks" in that interview though. It's a straight-out statement that he's not coming here. Even if he gets knocked back by Van Gaal I can't see him reversing himself so completely in such a short time, tho' January (or a different club) might be another story.

FC Bayern : Liverpool Gomez turned his head
08/30/2010 - 11:51 - David Weiss

Mario Gomez was not tired in recent weeks to stress that the coming season when he , in any case FC Bayern Munich wish to dispute . Even the rental service from Liverpool FC seemed to the former Stuttgart not to move to reconsider. Sound, kicker' But this is not the truth.

Accordingly, Gomez has informed the person in charge of FC Bayern already that he wants to leave the club. Uli Ferber advisor cares about his clients and makes it clear that Gomez " Just play football again " would like. Therefore, we think on the side of the striker by means of a change at the Anfield Road.

Ferber explains: "When a club like Liverpool FC inquires , then it pushes the wordless not off the table. " However, it is the German master little impressed by the offer of " Reds ". This appears to have offered to pay the salary of the German national team member, but want to pay any rental fee .

Liverpool improved its own offer to , but you could also come on the road Säbener to ponder. For coach Louis van Gaal had repeatedly said that he 's overstaffed for storm holds . With a loan of Gomez , one could resolve this problem and possibly get back a resurgent attacker in twelve months.

From Hansern's post there seems to be definite interest and Bayern want to reduce their squad. It could be on .... I hope so, unless we get Toivanen or Llorente, and both are looking very dubious, he is a far better option than say Cole.

In the bookies they had Gomez as shortest price in the first goal scorer market for Bayern's game this weekend. Does he start for them?

I find it strange that roy thinks torres will become more effective besides someone who gives him knock downs and flick ons rather than someone who can create genuine chances with creativity and movement. also a big guy up front will be an open invitation for the defenders to send it long.

torres was amazing when gerrard was feeding him, in and ideal world we would return to that but CM is weak and we now have cole. could cole be be as effective as gerrard was? maybe roy doesn't want to find out and would rather get a new striker and play cole in a wide position.

If the ball is reaching Torres from the midfield or wide players as opposed to directly from a hoof upfield by the defence then surely he is not going to get knocked about anywhere near as much. I'd play the following:

Reina

Johnson Carragher Agger Konchesky

Poulsen Meireles

Maxi Gerrard Cole

Torres

He's still being a tosser however

Foxwold being a tosser? Wow. Was he fucking thick aswell? He usually is
As I said to FFF last night...... he needs to change his fuckin username. Hes in with a bad crowd

Its not fucking rocket science, forget clever tactics, Torres needs some help up front to help with the pressure and share the knocks.
We need someone to assume responsibility with some of our also-ran strikers for when Torres is not there, which on case people had not noticed is lots

regards

He does usually. The last World Cup wasn't typical in that respect as Torres wasn't anywhere near fully fit.
No he doesn't. Both played better when the other wasn't on the pitch in the Euros too. It's not a particularly good partnership.

The Editor:

Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez is interested in a move to Liverpool, according to the player's agent.
