Goalscorer.

I dont know where people are getting the idea that he is struggling to get games at Madrid.....he was injured for pre season and Mourinho seems to be easing him back in again while rotating him with benzema, so he can get the best out of both them heading in to the second half of the season. Below are the stats for the 5 most used in the front 3 by Madrid in all competitions this season (granted some of them are as a sub). I doubt we have a shot of getting Higuain to be honest.

Games Goals
Ronaldo - 19 20
Benzema - 18 12
Higuain - 20 13
Ozil - 20 2
di Maria - 17 3

Shane Long has looked Prem quality through and through this season (apart from 1 horrible pass I remember) Take him away from Hodgson for less than 10m. More to spend on a right winger

That's my mistake then. Thought he was well behind Benzema. He obviously isn't then.

However if there's any truth in the Neymar rumours it'll be very interesting to see who'll make way. Surely they can't please them all? They've even got Sarin to fit in as well.

Sahin will just sit on the bench.

I reckon they'll get rid of Kaka and perhaps someone like Neymar will play out wide instead of Marcelo?

Either way they have an absolutely outrageous squad.

Even forgot about their £40M Kaka.

'Outrageous' is pretty spot on.

Soldado from Valencia
Good shout. He's been around a while now and always seems to be a goal in every other game kinda striker.

Soldados goal against Real was fucking outrageous.
Beautiful technique and a glorious finish.

Re Giroud. I find it strange if Comolli didnt have him on his list when Torres left last january. Albeit he was signed in the 10/11 season, so he couldnt have swapped clubs even if he wanted to. But is exactly the kind of striker that would do well in England.
Good turn of pace, excellent in the air, decent skills and a return of 1 goal pr 2 games.

Would have cost a 1/4 of the price of Andy Carroll.

If I could take my pick of strikers I'd want, I'd probably go for Cavani, who I think will be a superstar. But realistically, he'd be way out of our reach.

Loic Remy is someone I'd look at as a realistic and not too expensive option. All the right attributes to play in England - strong, quick, works reasonably hard, and is technically pretty good.

Not exactly someone who's a hot prospect as he's 24, but I reckon he'd be the sort who'd peak to be a very good player. Been strong and consistent in Ligue 1 over the past 2-3 seasons, and I can see him coming to England, and taking his game to a higher level. Maybe not world class, but a high level performer (maybe something like an injury free Louis Saha). I also think he'd be the sort of player who'd fit in well for us - leading the line with Suarez just behind him.

Marco Reus is the correct answer to Sunny's question.

Watch this space.

Is he not a midfielder? Looks a cracking player though

He's a versatile AM, and he scores enough.

Perfect for a front three with Suarez and Carroll

Sorry i don't know his name, but this lad playing up front for Palace looks tasty.

is he zaha?

or however you spell it. Their young striker whos apparantly thenextbigthing tm

Reus looks a top prospect, but I thought this was more about natural strikers. I'm actually drawing a blank there. There's a glut of talented young attacking mids and wingers plying their trade these days (including Reus), but can't really think of anyone who can stake a claim to be the next Henry, RVP etc.

Yeah thats him i think mate (i could of heard wrong, but i'm, sure they called him Wolf Zaha).

He's been quite quiet in the 2nd half, but looked good in the first 45

Cavani or Saldado.

Saldado could be prime for a move soon. The top two in Spain won't be interested (Barca don't need him and Madrid moved him on) and he might fancy the challenge abroad. Decent scoring rate and is a classy finisher. His goal against Madrid the other week was sweetly hit. I presume it's the same one as Oncy was alluding too.

Higuain would be the dream signing. It's not that unrealistic is it? He is a fan favourite but never received the same 'love' from the men in charge. He makes himself undroppable with the goals he scores and is a beast. Would love him here.

Yes Soldado please. We should get someone who can finish around the box. Imagine if he joins us in Jan and beats Torres to a spot in the Spanish Euro squad.

Edinson Cavani 2011 HD - Best Goals *NEW*

This man is worth anything up to 50m for us.
He might have a slight problem with his nickname but he finishes well with BOTH feet, great with his head, versatile, hard working, and everything you could want from an attacker. A true world class attacking talent. Lets grow our smiling Uruguayan population.

We've been linked a lot with Luuk De Jong. Not seen much of him though
Isn't he a big target man? Not sure what that says about Carroll if we're in for that kind of player.
Everton linked with him as well.
I am immediately against signing the lad

Not sure if its partly due to looks but always been more impressed with Ricky van Wolfswinkel than Luuk de Jong. Maybe the names played a part too. :-[

Saw a couple of stories linking us with this guy. 17 year old Lucas Ocampos. Broken into River Plate's first team - supposedly the next big thing in Argentina.

Clip: Not much go to go by, but the lad looks the part physically
