That was before the last big Creutzfeldt Jacob cluster. I think you need some sort of demonic possessed bluetooth headset now.

Any chance of him challenging Cashley for englands left back position?
Don't be soft. Johnson's been decent but nothing more than that.

I think capello has a bigger decision on magic than kenny

Kenny will keep him on the left but will capello keep him whilst he does not play there for his club and with Kelly due an international cap, Maybe even this week
hopefully he drops the both of them.
Kelly isn't in the squad I think

I think maybe if he killed him and ate his liver or something. I forget how you get other people's powers, I haven't done it for ages.
Have to eat their brain I think mate.

Glojo is not going to be replace Ashley Cole and he shouldnt do so for England.

I maintain that his massive improvement is because of Kenny rather than being played left back.
There was a lot of tension between him and Roy after comments in the press about how he was below par, and then he wanted to leave.
It's both.

Glen Johnson was the only absentee from training of the 20 players still at Fabio Capello's disposal for England's friendly with Ghana at Wembley on Tuesday.

The Liverpool defender has a strict fitness regime which means he is sometimes absent from training sessions after games and England were adhering to that policy.

I thought i was a great pass to play Young through against Wales

While Kenny is getting all the plaudits for the re-emergence of Magic, I think it has more to do with Steve Clarke whose worked with him before.

Clarke is more involved in organising the defense though, isn't he?

I dunno. It's a bit presumptuous to say that it's probably more down to Clarke, I've heard it said on here a few times now. Like Kenny doesn't do anything in training. He probably has had a something to do with it, but the presence of Kenny has benefited the team as a whole. And besides, on the couple of occasions when Johnson has reverted to right back (for us), I've still been less impressed with him, than how he's performed on the left.

Yeah I mostly agree with that. Besides it's Kenny who signed Clarke so ultimately it's down to King anyway.

Clarke knows them both better than Kenny and worked with them well. Its presumptious to wanna give Kenny all the credit.

It's a moot point, because we don't know their relationships well at all. All that matters is we've got a good manager and he's brought in a good right hand man. Who gives? Johnson's improved, which is probably something to do with him reverting to left back, the fact the team is playing better and because of the presence of (the likes of) Dalglish and Clarke.

I've seen this said a few times now, as though Kenny has no bearing on training, it's fucking annoying, we're playing well so why try and take that away from him? He managed one of the greatest footballing sides we've ever had, and now we're playing some good football again, or at least heading in the right direction on that note. It's hardly a coincidence.

As said, ultimately Kenny brought Steve Clarke in anyway, so if someone wants to give him the plaudits for it, fair do's. You could have just said, "Steve Clark has probably had a big impact on things too" and I doubt anyone would have taken offence to it. I only took offence because I've read the same comment numerous times in recent weeks.

It's funny, because when Hodgson's right hand man was utter shite (well reportedly so anyway), everyone blamed Hodgson for it.
