gerrards injured!?

With Lucas being out I think Roy would have been tempted to play Poulsen, but besides that he at least now HAS to put Meireles in the middle, and hopefully Shelvey too, I couldn't give a fuck what he does with Cole because he's been pretty fucking useless wherever he's played.

Jesus, what a mess! Quality invention by Crump, but all too plausible. As for the effect of Gerrard's injury: yes, it will fuck us up, but will it really fuck up Hodgson? Seems to me he's now got a ready-made excuse for the next month of shit performances and results.

I really can't see what's all the fuzz is about....

We've still got a fit Poulsen.

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson distances himself from comments made on social-networking site Twitter earlier tonight by Liverpool's Head of Fitness and Conditioning (HFC) coach, Darren Burgess. Angry Burgess had claimed that Capello had backtracked on a verbal agreement that Steven Gerrard would only play 45 minutes in tonight's friendly against France.

Burgess had stated on Twitter: "Completely amateurish and now we pay for their incompetence". Burgess also called it, "absoloutely disgraceful".

The Liverpool manager, Roy Hodgson, who was at Wembley to watch the game, was concerned when Steven Gerrard pulled up with what appeared to be a hamstring injury. Hodgson said: "We have to accept these things happen. Fabio has a job to do, and a squad to use, and it's not for me to tell him how to use that squad and what players to pick". Hodgson added: "There was no absoloute agreement in place, and I refute those claims by Darren. Hopefully Steven will be back fully fit soon, but we have to accept he's an important player for Fabio; and an important player for England".

roy really really does not have the first fucking clue about what this club is about. I fucking curse the day he was appointed.

I know right, he should have backed the fitness coach..and stuck the boot into Capello. It irks me how he calls him Fabio, like they bessie mates.

I know btw

*shudders*

----------------------------Reina------------------------
Kelly-----------Carragher---Kyriakos---Konchesky
Babel-----------Shelvey-----Poulsen-----------Maxi
------------------Meireles-------------------------------
-------------------------------Ngog----------------------

Even against the Hammers, that midfield will get raped.

Edit, Lucas is out

Why no Torres? Also Cole Kuyt and Johnson may be fit

Guys! I thought it was accepted that if there was a potential whoosh or even half a "dreamy" on the cards we let it play out! Why tell Neil it was a joke!?

I can't believe Hodgson said that either, Neil...

Roy is entitled to his opinion.

Based on this seasons form it wouldnt matter too much anyway. We will loose both away, and probably one at home as well. So it is just 1 or 3 points. Max damage is 3 points.

As easy as it may be to vent at Crapello, the fact of the matter is that Gerrard will always regard playing for England as vital no matter how unimportant the match.

I've often wished he'd have decided to retire from international football before this, but that's never going to happen so these fucking inuries have to be expected.

the knob took rio and barry off at half time though, its not fair!! 🙁

If Roy had the same kind of fear factor that Ginsoak does, then there is no doubt that Gerrard would have been withdrawn at halftime. And the soft press statements afterwards just back that theory, my kids have more potential anger in their nursery rhymes.

Apparently were looking for half million quid in compensation from the FA to cover stevies wages..
