Not quite (yet). The MBE he's being given isn't at that level, not that he should be getting anything at all.

An even worse scandal if anything is that Hodgson's getting a CBE, two levels up from that. My granddad got the same for running the Maltese Civil Service during WW2 with bombs falling around him which put him in mortal danger and left him deaf for the rest of his life. Give me strength.

I did recognise it.

Thankfully I got some enjoyment out of it despite the result. Our CCP agent has me on ignore so he wouldn't have seen the match thread, so he was left alone in Euro 2020 thread wondering why nobody was posting about the match.

My father in law, a catholic republican civil servant in strabane in the 80s was offered an MBE, but turned it down as he valued his kneecaps over a minor honour.

Can't remember if I mentioned it here.
A few weeks ago I went for a scan at the local hospital..
There were literally hundreds of Croatia flags.. printed ones, a huge flag, lots of little bunting style ones.. just all over this one dept.
And not a single England flag... Not one.

Now, I'm usually quite open to this kinda stuff, like multiculturalism is cool .. immigrants esp if they are working in the hospital fixing my broken immigrant foot are cool
.. but this got me like whaaaa not a single England flag???
Like A - the person should have like some shame.. maybe a flag or two not hundreds..everywhere...
B- where was the nationalism from others in the dept unless they were all also Croatian?

Was thinking I'd imagine an ultra nationalist/Edl type would have kicked off and left.

Anyway.. cheered Andy cos Britain..but he looks shot and don't think he'll last.
And bit conflicted about a couple of weeks when England Play Pakistan in the ODI series... Always want Pakistan to do well.

So I might support Pakistan on the sat V Eng then swap the green for the white if Eng get to the final!

Ich habe dem nichts hinzuzufügen (habe aber auch nicht alles gelesen, da Urlaub 😉).

To be honest, I am happy that the "reign"/"ghost" of Jogi is over now. I was kind of released because in my view Germany at least had (to win is wrong) to play much better in the tournaments after 2014 but Jogi wanted to implement his own "style".

Now, let us see if England can win it all!

I appreciate being horrible and assholes to a little German girl crying cos her teams shit isn't very nice, and in some cases really wrong.

On the other hand raising £8k+ for her is ridiculously snowflakey behaviour.
