At the very least, he'll give some young twat a smack on the back of the head for those shisha or laughing gas sessions, like he once did to Crouch for having a cig.

Not sure how Macca is qualified as a coach, but it seem like he has a different experience than Rodgers and his team and hence can add to the team something they lack from before... It is still up to the boss to utilize the skills of the team... so we will see how we can improvisasjon from last year.

Rodgers will still dominate the coaching, with a bit of input from O'Driscoll, so it's silly anyway for the club to describe Gary as first team coach. He's Master of the Cones.

He could teach the guys a thing or two about sticking penalties in or taking direct free kicks. I can't remember if he used to take corners for us.

He can also reach the Young guys a thing or two about what it takes to win a title... We need someone with a baggage from lifting titles.

That Leeds team was very interesting. I don't think there's been a successful team like that since then.

Blackburn?

Not really. Remember how Leeds put together a good lower league side with some smart buys and some youth and came up and outplayed most teams. You had smart pick ups like strachan, Mcallister, and old warriors like sterland and Roberts. They didn't feel like a team who'd bought it like Blackburn did. Maybe that's just how I remember it though.

Yeah, getcha now.

The last team to win anything without spending a fortune I guess.

They also had Speed, Batty, Rod Wallace, Gary Kelly and Cantona.

But not the title.
Well, my pointer was that he has experience from winning as a player, and that is something the rest of the coaching team lacks. Rodgers might know how he wants the team to play, but discussing solutions with struggling youngsters like Lazar and Moreno can be difficult. What are going on when they have to make decisions in Key moments? Gary have been there, Rodgers not....

Well, apparently, these days winning is getting in to the top 4. Brodge has done that ... so we're good!
