Quite I see Coates replacing Carragher, he'll play a few games in his place this season I reckon (Aggers fitness dependant)


As for our squad... it's fantastic. If Lucas can play as he did against Bolton in all games, we have our ball winning midfielder right there.

As for midfield, the two central midfielders can be occupied by either Adam/Lucas/Gerrard/Spearing or Shelvey. The attacking midfielder/second striker slot can be occupied by either Gerrard/Suarez/Henderson and in attack with have Suarez/Carroll/Kuyt/Bellamy. There's a lot of depth there. Better than most of our rivals i'd say.

You know what Sven I have tended to ignore people when they say you are a WUM, but fuck me you are.
Rome was not built in a day, and we are not in CL so not in a position to bring in some of the very top quality we might want, but you know what? We have made a fucking good start at rebuilding, enough to see us challenge for a top four place at least, and if we do that , that is significant progress.

What? Where did I say that Comolli and Kenny haven't done a good job? I think we have made a step to right direction but let's not kid ourself and think our squad is fantastic like Mystic does. I just pointed out that it's far from fantastic and still many players short to challenge the title.

Going back to what i said a couple of months ago i was hoping Aquilani and Meireles would be sold and replaced by a real classy centre mid who can stick his boot in. It hasn't happened so we look a little short in that area but we've got enough to get by until Jan with no euro footy.

would be interesting, although I dont think he has played upfront before. I have not seen enough of Morgan to comment, but he seems more of a 'clever' fox in the bx rather than an impact player. Could be wrong.

In centrla midfield, we have coady, but not sure if he is ready.

I think he is a good player yes.

I also think Agger and Carra are good players. I can't comment on Coates but I haven't heard anything to suggest he isn't good too.

We have a good set of central defenders IMO

He's easily a 12m defender right now and is still improving. Add to the fact he's 3rd/4th choice. ADD TO THE FACT HE WAS IN ONE OF THE MEANEST DEFENCES IN THE PL LAST YEAR. [size=18pt]ADD TO THE FACT HES A MONSTER[/size]

I must say I agree at least partly with Sven regarding the centre backs. We could well need one more quite soon as Carra is getting old and we can't depend on Agger staying fit. From what I've seen of Skrtel he won't be more than a squad player. Of course Coates hasn't proved anything yet either but I trust him to do the business.

For the moment we are fine there though.

We need a centreback: Coates / Kelly / Agger / Skrtel / Carra- we've got fucking 5 already. Why do we need more?

We need a better playmaker: Hmmm, wonder if that Gerrard chap is any good?

Winger: We've got Downing, Glenjo can play wide, we have Sterling doing well in the ressies. Old fashioned wingers are not as necessary as they used to be.

Striker: We have Suarez, Kuyt, Bellamy and Carroll plus potentially people from the ressies. Give up with the Carroll bashing, he's been here 7 months, was injured when we bought him and was injured after we bought him. Some people need time to adapt. Give him a chance.

In terms of the overall situation that you say we are short on, had we gone and bought the additional players for the positions you state we need, then we would have needed to spend at least an additional £60/70m.

Just a little note, we are Liverpool. Not Man City. But I'm sure someone can give you directions to Eastlands, you'd probably feel at home there and be more welcomed.
