this is getting fucking weird, btw, just how well he's done. it needs remembering: in the 14 games since the derby (from when you could make a good argument his tenure effectively began) we've got 32 pts from 14 games, or just under 87 points pro-rated.
what can you say to that? it's insane, and done with exciting, attacking, technical football. itactually goes beyond admiration, for me. i'm completely baffled by it.

I'd be (even more) suprised if the American owners could have watched that tonight and not finally, for once and for all thought that their search for a new manager is over. I think that is huge.

All in all this performance was significant. very significant.
THe way we moved the ball, the passing, the composure, the confidence, the skill, the work rate - all the boxes were ticked. This would have been impossible under roy and that too away from home.

THe way we moved the ball, the passing, the composure, the confidence, the skill, the work rate - all the boxes were ticked. This would have been impossible under roy and that too away from home.
It's only significant if we can keep playing like this next season when we're still in with a chance of winning something.
Doesn't alter the fact that what Kenny has achieved since being given the job is absolutely ASTOUNDING. I was afraid he might tarnish his legend by becoming our manager again; I certainly never believed he could actually enhance it. But since he's come back, he's seemed almost godlike. A very humble, no-bullshit sort of god though, obviously.

I think it was an understandable concern. I wonder, though, if he could have done a similar job with a different club in a similar position, or if it's the emotional connection with Liverpool that has made this possible?

The first game of the new Season will be more pivotal than ever imo.
Could we perform like in our latest run of games on the first day of the new Season - even without perhaps one or two key figures - we'd be battling for top honors come May.
I know it's not that simple of course but we'd be so much better of with a flying start for once. The confidence we've gained close Season we'd then bring well and truely into the next one and big things could happen.
We need one more player in the Suarez mould however. We'd look a completely different team yesterday without him why need another star-man to ease the pressure of his shoulders once in a while.
