Foxes - Post Match

Is Klopp really blaming the pitch for our poor performance?

Wow

To be fair there were a few occasions where a simple pass did look slow and perhaps the pitch was dry...

Either way, we didn't play very well but got 3 points, I might also add that the only goal they got was given to them for free and we were away from home and deserved to win against tough opponents and we are top of the league.

Just saying...

Like everyone else, I hate International breaks, but I think this one has come at a great time for us.

Expecting our team to be bang in form from the get go... it's a long season folks... peaking to early might not be a good idea... and did I mention we are on 100% record?

4 - 0
2 - 0
1 - 0
2 - 1

Without the break the next game will be
1-1 or worst 0 - 1? That is the trend. I say a break now will hopefully bring some recovery.

You argue they are shite and were missing their best player.

It was like when we said Crystal Palace were great and everyone would struggle to win there.

Southampton best them 2-0 on Saturday.

Realistically our first proper test will be Spurs.

It’s a massive game

Mignolet texting Karius: TURN ON THE F*CKING TV. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

C.Palace 1-2 Liverpool
Liverpool 4-0 Brighton
Leicester 2-3 Liverpool

I assume this was meant for the Watford forum?

I'm not sure how much footy you've watched this month, but bar a ~10 minute spell against Manure, Spurs have been bang average (even more so than us). They are not in great form - and I'd argue perhaps the most on-form team is Watford, who have looked far more convincing than us, Spurs or Chelsea!

I read an interesting piece on one of the media sites (BBC or Sky) on Kane yesterday / today with stats showing that he is not playing the same way as last year (taking on people less and shooting far less from outside the box).

I dunno. There was a better breakdown I saw yesterday but I can't find it. I'llI just be a form issue, but he has taken fewer shots year on year for the past four seasons. Probably as he's become more clinical and learned what works better rather than anything Spurs fans should be worrying about

Watford have looked impressive but they aren’t going to finish top 6 nevermind top 4 well or top 2.

Spurs will. They weren’t great against Newcastle but did enough with no rest for their big players.

They haven’t been amazing at all but they took 4 pts off us last season and gave us our worst defeat last season imo.

Beating them would be a huge statement.

Odd - any idea why an injury would prevent him from shooting less? Is he not as quick? or less confident?
Not casting an opinion on the stat, which seems speculative at best, but I guess an injury could effect his ability to quickly shift the ball on to the other foot and take a snap shot.

You're both right on this one, Spurs have been poor, we've not been great, but they've been levels worse. However they're a tight compact unit, who are very accomplished at nicking goals in tight games (conditions they create), this game won't be easy, and a win would be massive.

There's also the usual - and universal - issue with getting older and more "experienced"; you worry more, over-think everything, are less inclined to take risks and all of the colour and joy goes out of your life; the dark draws in, fear takes control and death seems ever closer.

When has he ever taken people on?

Kane is suffering from playing all last season as a solo striker & hardly ever being subbed, then going to the world cup & being left to stand around on the pitch almost unable to walk, never mind run, cos he was that fucking knackered, from 60 minutes onwards just in case he was needed to take a penalty.

The lad was physically shattered, if he was our player I highly doubt klopp would be playing him, but he's been thrown in there from the start & he's nowhere near physical fitness yet.

Thanks for cheering us all up, Brendan.

Crikey, that all sounds like a recipe for ending up with a succession of really nasty injuries.

Either that or scoring a couple of goals against us.
Hope he plays the full 90 (or is it 180) minutes for England during the international break.

Jimmy, I hope that's some reverse jinx shit going on there.
