Forgotten cunts of football

Yeah he always seemed a bit of a gentle giant whenever I've seen him as a pundit.
I suppose most of the players mentioned on this thread were nasty cunts but most of them would try to win at all costs.
We need more nasty cunts in our squad and more winners.
We have a shower of poofs who would shit the course at crazy golf.
Suarez would forge his scorecard without a second thought.

Quite a few players who were @rseholes on the pitch come across very differently off it. Example: anyone who didn't see Martin Keown play would think from his contributions on the Beeb that he must have been some cultured, intelligent midfielder or something, whereas in fact he was a nasty, gritty man-marker and typical bluenose yard-dog.

Someone who is still playing: Michael Brown.

Loved it when Gerrard clocked him with his forearm.

Yes. He's a gnarly little cunt and was at it all game with Scott Parker. Went through the back of him several times.

A Leeds fan said to me if Brown was involved with the ball boy, then he'd have been ale to set the kid on fire and still only get a yellow card!

Jack Charlton, Norman Hunter, Allan Clarke - more or less that whole Leeds side was a collection of total @rseholes. Arseholes who could really play, but @rseholes all the same.

Sorry. New on here but you talk to Leeds fans? Why?

And they hate Man U as much as we do.
Rather too much in my opinion. When Leeds were in the Premier League, their fans used to go round singing about Man United, instead of their own team. They couldn't have paid United a bigger compliment.

Welcome to the board by the way, Twentyman80! I hope you will find it agreeable round here. 🙂

I'd agree with that. Although because of Bates their current anger seems to be directed towards Chelsea but of course that hatred has its roots in history too.

Having been up there last week to spend the weekend and watch them v Spurs, they seem to think they are the spokespersons for the whole of Yorkshire, which is a touch arrogant.

Plus it's been a while since I've heard casual racism bandied about inside the stadium. Terms like - spooks, darkies, paki & wogs were all used throughout the stadium and the bars like it was commonplace. More than a bit disconcerting to be fair, thought I'd time travelled back to the 70s.

She makes you go there too? You have my sympathy! Sounds like they are a bit backward!

I quite like Leeds as a city, but the ground and its fans are a bit weird.

As for makes me go there, well I'm not that under the thumb! She's come to Liverpool and sat in the pub while I've gone to a game. At least she sorts me a ticket, although, I suppose when they have that many spares its not too bad.

I'd been to Elland Road as part of my travelling round the country watching Liverpool when I was younger. It's a bit saner now than it was then.

On the pitch, certainly, but he's a good radio pundit now and a very different-sounding character from what you'd expect.

I only mentioned him because I heard him on the radio yesterday. I agree with you, he does do a good job and his point of view on the Dzeko incident was was particularly good.

I remember Danny Mills as being tough-tackling but not dirty.

He was a gobshite and dirty with it. Didn't he, Johnson and Smith all play for dirty Leeds??? That may explain it. You can the player out of Leeds but you cant get the Leeds out of the player.
