For future reference: I was right all along about the transfers

The poster JurgenKlopp is Mr Moo yeah? He's back liking his Peter's posts anyway. The dream team back in action.

I don't understand why people need to make it about peterhague's personality. I don't agree with him on some things, but I saw exactly the same pattern with regards to Rodgers/Committee signings (BTW now I know why committee's are so inefficient by nature – even the word committee itself contains too many fucking letters! 2 M's, 2 T's and 2 E's? Sounds like a waste of space to me).

Maybe I spotted this pattern pretty early because I was doing the Transfer Summary threads every summer and documenting every player we've been linked with and putting them into a list by position – and soon it started becoming clear that our transfer dealings were informed not by one, but by at least 2 different and incompatible kinds of logic. One tried to go for value and under-appreciated younger players (sometimes it didn't work out, but the intention was clear), the other one had us linked with players who at first glance represented very little value for money, the fanbase kept laughing them off (Bertrand, really?) but yet those links refused to go away. And when some of those players – Allen, Lallana, Lovren etc – did get signed, the way Rodgers spoke about them and tried to build around them (sometimes with disastrous results) left no doubt about who was pushing for those transfers.

Sturridge is an interesting case study. He was signed from an EPL club and had worked with Rodgers before, so if all we were doing was lazily classifying all "foreign" players as TC's and all "domestic" as Rodgers', he would definitely fall into the latter category. However Studge also falls into the TC category of young under-valued players, same category as Coutinho and Can (and disastrously, Balotelli), it just happened to be a domestic club. So was he a Rodgers or TC's signing? I think the clue is in the way we handled that transfer – we delayed it by 6 months to get a better value. Had it been Rodgers pushing for Sturridge's transfer, there is no doubt we would have paid anything Chelsea asked for, like it's been the case with Benteke, Allen, Lallana and others.

So for me the reports of "trusted journalists" are not the main source, they simply confirm the picture that had formed in my mind long time ago.

By the way @Wiberg I realise you would in no way wish suicide on someone. Your choice of humour should have you banned alone for being an unfunny dickhead. Oh and this post isn't 'tongue in cheek' - You call me a 'queen' again and if ever meet you I'll rim you until you pass out. You cunt. 🥷

Seriously? This doesn't seem over the top at all in your world?

I already apologized for the comment. Why are you so angry? It wasn't even directed in your direction.

If you really insist on taking this further I will gladly meet you in person and let you try to take a swing.

No need for the name calling. At the very least admit to the drama part?

I'll admit to that - It's what I do best. I'll happily meet you for a windmill fest if that's your thing. You'd lose by the way. @peterhague is a friend (of sorts) and I take exception to anyone giving my buddies grief. You understand that right?

Hallelujah.

I do. Which is why I said that I acknowledge that the remark was in bad taste and I apologized as well.

I have very little interest in fighting fellow LFC fans TBH. I do also think it's very hard to judge who would walk away with a full set of teeth and who would become the next Brendan Rodgers if we were to have an encounter of that nature.

I appreciate the @Wiberg apology and his 'funny' wishing suicide on a mate of mine. It was in jest right? How about (in jest) if ever we meet I'll break your fucking jaw (I'm only joking by the way)....
