Best case scenario:
Tottenham and Newcastle drop points leaving Chelsea with a bigger chance of making the top 4. Also, Barca knocking them out of the Champions League, forcing Chelsea to concentrate even more on finishing 4th.

Kenny should play the reserves against Fulham.

But if Chelsea somehow manage to beat Barca that might distract them a bit in the FA Cup final. The CL is Chelsea's ultimate aim and maybe some of their players coming towards the end of their career (Drogba, Lampard, Terry etc) will be wary of picking up an inujury in the FA Cup final that would deny them one last tilt at the CL. It's a moot point however because I can't see the Chavs getting past Barca.

I'd much rather Chelsea had no chance of finishing fourth and got battered by Barcelona. If they lost every match from now until the end of the season, I'd be quiet happy.

You get a lot more pumped up for it if it's your only final though, what you're saying makes no sense. "Oh look we're playing in the champions league final next week, that just makes me want to win today even more"

Obviously not, but will Lampard* throw himself into a 50/50 tackle with Skrtel in the FA Cup final if he thinks there's a chance of him missing his last chance of winning a CL final the next week?

This applies to Lampard, Terry, Drogba or any of the older players who have one last chance of CL glory. The truth is Neil, even though we would love to win the FA Cup we have to remember it's "small potatoes" next to the CL.

We'll as a club be singularly be looking forward to the FA cup final as the pinnacle of our season. Chelsea will be looking forward to two things, and arguably the champions league final more, so their attention will be split, it's a no brainier really. Now i'm not saying that this will make any difference to the final, but your analogy that they'll be more focused because they have two finals to prepare for as opposed to our one is just ridiculous.
