Quite a few of them would improve our squad wouldn't they ?

Apart from Jovetic who obviously stood out with his goals, a couple of others look quite useful.

Marco Marchionni had a good game in midfield but doesn't seem to have a great final ball in his locker.

Riccardo Montolivo looks like a tidy player, Vargas has a cannon of a left foot on him. And I thought Gamberini looked good when dealing with Torres.

One of the few things Glock ever got right is when he said we went after the wrong Serie A based LB. Vargas is obviously a better player (and absolutely immense on Champ).

Jovetic annoyed the fuck out of me tonight. Putting aside the fact that he scored twice, I think he just reminded me of Fellani a little bit with that hair. Bah.

Jovetic is a gifted lad - he looks funny though.

Marchionni is a solid RB/wing back. Great engine.

Montolivo was invisible for me most of the game ... Was looking out for him due to Roopy's ravings and was very disappointed.

Vargas ... Looks like a more technically gifted version of Riise.

I've always liked Frey too - one of the most underrated players the French have produced over the past two decades.

Jovetic looked a wonderful prospect to me. He reminded me of a young Aimar.

Let's hope Rafa thinks so.

Rafa loves players that play well against his team.

So Hines and Jovetic are on his winter transfer list.

Hines didn't play well, he just ran about a lot.
Hmm caused us some trouble... but I doubt that when our defence is on top game that he would have had those chances.

For some reason, seeing that first 2o or minutes of Hines reminded me of that hat-trick that fucking Kevin Lisbie scored against us years ago for Charlton.

Watching that Jovetic lad is precisely the reason i think N'gog and Babel are shite.
He may not do that week in week out and there will be ups and downs of course, but he's younger and has just showed me in ONE game that SPARK that you hope to see that makes you think theres a real talent in there.

I've never seen either of our 'Hopes' do that in any way shape or form.

I think that's a bit harsh Oncy. Well harsh on N'gog anyway.

He took his first chance well, the second he was fortunate with, but year decent performance. I'm sure he puts in a few shite ones too, as is the way with youngsters. Bear in mind he might not have even played tonight if Gilardino was available.

N'gog's doen ok for us, has scored goals, and has suprirsed a few. He cost two bits of fuck all, and has a lot of upside to him for someone so young and inexperienced.

Babel? We'll yeah, s'pose.
I dont mean that they (either of them) wont be decent squad players or even decent first teamers. But these NEXT Henry or NEXT Trezeguet posts are fucking jokes.

I think only Assulin said N'Gog could be the next Treze.
Im absolutely positive ive heard those kind of mumblings from at LEAST ONE other poster, and from loads about Babel in his first......year and a half.

Heh, well Babel doesn't count. He came to Liverpool billed as "The Next Henry".
