The sad thing about this is that it doesn't surprise me. I know a guy that is a massive panathinaikos fan and he told me he hasn't paid in to any of the hundreds of basketball matches he's been too.

From an article I've read, it's 35,000 capacity. 9,000 tickets to Liverpool (if we get there), I assume 9,000 to the other finalist. 8,000 for UEFA bigwigs, sponsors, corporate whatevers, blah blah, and 9,000 for worldwide fans (Internet ticket booking - already closed).

I guess that of the 17,000 not going directly to fans of the finalists, a lot of them will end up in their hands anyway at 10x the value maybe.

I haven't been to a game in ages. Most of the time the atmosphere is nothing like that, that's probably been the final game of the season or a big match. Usually the stadiums are largely empty.

Someone was telling me the other day about meeting a load of dortmund in town the other day, got lashed with them before the game and had an ace laugh, and when they got knocked out the german lads got in touch to say they already had tickets for the final from the ballot so they're gonna send them over if we get through. Nice touch.
