Fergie to retire (confirmed)

I won't believe it until Eamon Holmes explodes. I don't care what you tell me, I need Eamon Holmes to explode.

Eamonn Holmes used to go to the same dentist as me in Belfast (I don't know if he was still living there or being a weirdo and didn't have one in England) and the dental nurse announced in front of everyone that it had been over 5 years since his last check up.

Moyes: approached by Wolsburg (after winning league),lately by Malaga and Athletic Bilbao. But never by Spurs, Chelsea. He deserves the chance

And I guess if Moyes is Ferguson choice to replace him it means it is the right one, no? Sir Alex knows more about the game than any of us

And anyway, as usual ppl putting too much emphasis on manager. Look at Bayern, Milan, Bcn, even Swansea: philosophy first, manager 2nd.

Although Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has been tipped to take over in some quarters, it is thought Everton boss Moyes is in line to land what Gill describes as a "dream job".
"The qualities are the ones that have been inherent at Manchester United for many years," Gill told MUTV.
"Our two most successful eras were with managers who got involved with all aspects of the club, from the youth team to the first team, to get that degree of loyalty and understanding of the football club.
"Clearly he has to have the requisite football experience, both in terms of domestic and European experience.
"It is a small pool."
Moyes' European experience is not extensive.
He has only guided Everton through four European campaigns and never went beyond the last 16 phase in any competition.

It's difficult to see how it won't be Moyes, I just wonder how Gill would justify those comments if pressed.

Irish fans might remember being promised a world class appointment before Steve Staunton was given the job

BBC reporting it aswell now. Will happen in the next 24 hours.

Some rumours about Everton Being interested in approaching Lennon

I can't believe I went to bed last night with Ferguson as Man Utd manager and now I'm going to bed tonight knowing Moyes is their manager.

Somebody pinch me.

First thatcher dies and then fergie retires!

Proves that god God is a scouser after all?

You'd have thought the metro, despite being a London paper, which rarely reports anything positive from the north, and despite there being the biggest London derby in years tonight, you'd have thought they would have at least dedicated the front and back page to this news.
Are you kidding me?!

Half of the evening standard was decked out for The cunt!

Chelsea interim boss Rafael Benitez on Sky Sports: "I liked to compete against Sir Alex Ferguson. I wish him well and hope he can enjoy his retirement."

Sent from a mobile device - apologies for any crap

I reckon it's a case of Cunt-nose has built a runaway juggernaut in English(the cunts are a collosus)game and now they are changing driver. Moyes will keep it on track for a while but the cracks will appear when is told how to replace Scholes(38), van Persie(29), Ferdinand(34), Giggs(114 and still horny), Evra(31), Vidic(31) the Rückgrat of the team.

I can imagine there being some comedy chants at Moyes at Anfield next season. Especially when we beat them.

Scholes - need replacement
Van Persie - he still has 3-5 years left, and it's not like they don't have Chicharito (he shits goals), Welbeck and Rooney
Ferdinand - Smalling is almost ready
Giggs - Young/Valnecia are adequate replacements
Evra - Baines?
VIdic - THat ugly cunt Jones is the man.

Worth listening to a is guy who has been interviewed by talk sport who is close to tears and was sent home from work after he heard the news.

My mind goes back to the Nani red card and the way he came hurtling down the steps. Had he tumbled to his death it would have been golden.

However, Roy Keane mentally raping him. Hip Surgery. Retirement. Moyes. This is a close silver.

Bookies have stopped taking bets on moyes. This the day that just keeps giving.
They're going from a manager that's won everything, to a bloke that's won nothing and plays insipid football.
This is just fucking aces.

I think Jonjo calling Fergie a cunt made him reevaluate his life, thus reaching this decision
