FAO Singaporean Reds (and our neighbours)

No worries,Mike.

You sure you can't make it?

It's not really a once in a lifetime event, but the next time the Reds come down to Singapore your kids will probably be busy working and all that.

You might not get another chance to share this 🙁

If you book early you could get really cheap tickets from Air Asia (granted, you'd be putting money in Scum coffers) *

Although, your only other option would be to book early with Malaysia Airlines and tickets could be cheap too (although you'd also be putting money in Scum coffers). *

* just in case any Liverpool marketing/commercial people are reading this

I might just squeeze to go, work schedule permitting. No worries regarding putting money into the scums bank via Air Asia or MAS as we have choice of airlines like Tiger Air or Jetstar to Singapore! Cheers.

Yeah Y1, come over if you can. It's not often we'll get the Reds to come to this part of the world. I know prices are steep, maybe you can choose not to eat the delicacies that you love for a few days. 🙂

Also, FAO Glock. Are you coming to watch?

First of all I am new here so HI.I am a Malaysian Red and called up the number given Avmenon. I told them I will be picking up mine on Friday.I asked her about the sitting and she said it is free sitting .But I just realized that there is "The Kop" stand and people who purchase the ticket for The Kop will get a free scarf. Now have I have to call her again and tell her specifically that I want to book tickets for the Kop or I can do that when I collect and pay for my tickets?

What I was told me was that Malaysia was allocated only 2000 tickets, subject to increased demand and that all tickets allocated here were in fact in 'The Kop' stand ie in the East Stand of the National Stadium.

I have my doubts about the free scarf, but screw it.

We bring our own atmosphere.

You could call her I suppose, but talk is cheap...better to confirm with them in person...maybe I'll bump into you on Friday 😉

Maybe.A friend of mine directed me to this site and mentioned your name particularly.

LEGEND-DAIRY.

;D

I'm actually a bit worried that more Malaysians aren't going.

I was apparently the very first person to call them for tickets.

I mean, WTF?

I called a full day after the press conference.

On the other hand, tix, travel and accomodation is pretty pricey considering the Singapore Dollar is 2.5 times stronger than the Malaysian Ringgit.

Done the calculations; and this is going to cost a bomb. :'(

Guess I'll be drinking at home more often ;D

It is indeed going to cost a bomb! Luckily for me my parents are dishing out the money! ;D

I told that it would be expensive and to make the trip to Singapore from KL including the ticket and all. They said that it's almost like once in a life time chance and its simply not worth missing it! I am not complaining much though ;D

Well I guess there are quite a number of Malaysian that will be going.I am sure the Malaysian supporters club has organized a tirp!

It's great that your parents are so supportive.

Good thing they're not Mancs. 😉

If you're flying down, prices on Tiger Airways and Jet Star are definitely cheaper than Air Asia and Malaysia Airlines, as Y1 has already stated.

Yeah, the Liverpool Supporters Club MMalaysia are also buying a lot of tickets apparently..hopefully we take up our whole allocation.

None of the Malaysians going will be supporting Singapore, that's for damn sure. ;D

Try to get the better coaches tho, like Aeroline or NICE.

Hope so. I may get ticks straight from Singapore though since I have some mad Red relatives there.
You planned on where to stay yet Avvy?

Most likely the missus' relatives.

Not going to be easy tho, coz I think he's a Manc...but if he saves me $$$ in hotel charges I'll put up with his jokes.

'YNWA means You'll Never Win Anything'?..

'Oh thats so funny, how do you come up with them?'

Oh the mancs.

Well just tell them they have a new sponsor : Singapore Home Trust Investmen ;Dt thus next season there will be a big SHIT written on their red jersey.A old joke that ,but still ace 😉

Talking about the match.I am pretty darn sure there will be mancs. Well a certain Collete Wong is a Manc ,doubt it she won't be there. So certainly it's not gonna be Manc free! >🙁

Can anyone tell me how to get to the Stadium from JB? Like where can I get the bus..and where in Singapore will the bus stop. Then how do I get to the Stadium from there? Thank you! ;D

Well, you'd take the bus to Larkin; from there you'd have to catch a bus over the Causeway.

I'm not sure where in Singapore the buses stop tho.

Once there I'd hail a cab.

My advice would be to go there in our colours; the cabbies will know exactly where you want to go ;D

That would be cheaper, but I think it's better to get a bus directly to Singapore ie Aeroline or NICE;

https://www.aeroline.com.my/

http://www.parkmayberhad.com/nice.html

Aeroline stops a Harbourfront, NiCE stops at Copthorne Orchid Hotel.

BOth should be pretty close to the MRT, or you could hail a cab again.

Thanks AvmenoN!! ;D

If I do decided to take a MRT do you know what is the name of the station that is close to the Stadium. Also I assume that they have a lot of lines ..like here we have PUTRA and STAR,rite? So which line and which station..if let me know that then I guess i could settle it if i need to jump lines 8).Because most prob I will be coming from my aunt's in JB and not take a direct bus to Singapore!!Thanks again!! ;D

Nearest MRT station is definitely Kallang.

NOt sure how you'd get there tho.

You'd better check the lines; your Aunty in JB would know better I think.

I'd still recommend taking a bus over the Causeway and a cab to the Stadium once you're there.

I might be bugging you with info too,DH.

Going to pick up my tix tomorrow, hopefully.

Just jittery that things may get messed up tmrw;hope not...coz Ive bought the flight tix already.

PS : hows Tiger airways?

No problem Avy! And don't worry about the tickets, I'm sure everything will be ok.

Re: Tiger.

Unfortunately I have never taken Tiger before. However I just heard from my colleague about the horrors of Tiger's customer service. Also she advised me to read the terms and conditions carefully before purchasing the tickets. I guess it's all moot though since you have already bought the tickets.
