Reading through its difficult to argue with the plan to clobber James. Cut off Calvert Lewins supply line. Robbo should be happy to oblige. :blackalien:

Theyve got an inferiority complex and Klopp will have given the lads a rocket but Adrian and Gomes have got to respond.

Mane, Hendo, Thiago back means no more gaping holes in midfield and we win this.

They're gonna beat us eventually, and my head is fucked after that 7-2 against fucking Villa. Plus they've been absolutely insufferable all season (like it's actually some weird collective mental phenomena that is probably worthy of its own thread. I can't explain it), so I'm just gearing towards the worst case scenario.

So no change from every week then.

We are going to put them back in their place.

If we start at the right tempo we should win this. But that's what we could say for any game, and sometimes it hasn't happened. We need to push on now and really play the proper way.

I hope Thiago starts and is that tempo setter.

Thiago is starting by the sounds of it.

I'm half expecting Fabinho to start at CB.

Hendo is a must for me, cos we need some strong no bullshit tackles to put these in their place early doors.

Adrian (sigh)

Alexander-Arnold
Matip
Van Dijk
Robertson

Fabinho
Henderson
Thiago

Salah
Mané
Jota

Simple really.

If we play like we expect to win before a ball is kicked like we did against Villa we will lose.

If we play like we are proving a point then we will batter them.

Excited. Can’t wait for it to start.

Looking forward to Thiago, Hendo and Fabs controlling midfield and a rejuvenated Mane and Mo up top !

Klopp's comments regarding reaction to the 7-2 are what we needed to hear.

Hate playing the first game of the weekend. A poor result and there is no joy in the football on telly the rest of the day...

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti expects Yerry Mina and Lucas Digne to be fit for his table-topping side's hotly-anticipated Merseyside derby against Liverpool.
Centre-half Mina missed Colombia's match in Chile in midweek with a thigh niggle, but he was back in training on Friday, meaning new arrival Ben Godfrey may have to wait for his chance. Full-back Digne had an injury scare with France, but also looks ready.
Ancelotti also expects Seamus Coleman to be available after he went off in the win against Brighton with a hamstring scare.
Allan and Andre Gomes are back to challenge for midfield places, but Mason Holgate, Jonjoe Kenny, Jarrad Branthwaite and Jean-Philippe Gbamin remain on the sidelines.

The defence really worries me (as it does most) and the stats back up the reality. That said if the midfield & forwards get back to our usual high level pressing it should be far less of a worry and we should outscore them even if we concede. Just don't concede an early goal lads.

Same here.

I have zero confidence in Adrian, but Gomez obviously decided to get lobotomized and Virge is gash too lately.
