I was surprised not more was made of this TBH .... I'm sure if it had been at Anfield there would have been meltdowns on fans' forums across the country.

Everton have pledged to take "firm and far-reaching action" against anyone who is found to have thrown objects at Liverpool players during the weekend's defeat in the 216th Merseyside derby.

Objects - including what appeared to be at least one coin and a number of plastic bottles - were seen being hurled at the likes of Luis Suarez and Craig Bellamy at Goodison Park on Saturday.

The Football Association are awaiting referee Martin Atkinson's version of events in his official match report before deciding on what action, if any, to take.

Everton are working closely with Merseyside Police to examine video footage from the match, in which the Toffees had Jack Rodwell controversially sent off and conceded second-half goals to Andy Carroll and Suarez.

"We are fully aware of the incidents which occurred during Saturday's derby game," club director of communications Ian Ross told evertonfc.com.

"We are currently working with Merseyside Police on collating and analysing all available CCTV footage of the incidents.

"If we can identify any supporter who threw anything - and we mean anything - on to the pitch on Saturday we will take immediate firm and far-reaching action.

"This behaviour is totally unacceptable and will be rightly condemned by all right-thinking Evertonians - and that is 99.9% of our fan base."

It was a bad weekend for football fans really. The chants at Adebayor are in the news as well, and people are calling for all sorts of things to be done.

those of you giving it the superfan shit because you go to games need to have a good long look at yourselves (I feel like I need to say I'm joking here)

*feels bad*

I think there was not more about it because we (Kenny) did not make a big fuss about it, which in a derby is probably the best thing to do, just let the authorities sort it out.

regards

Agree totally and would add that, for all the stick Suarez took in some quarters over his reaction to Rodwell's tackle, he could have made a lot more of this as well, as could Bellamy. Instead both were very restrained and professional about the whole thing.

99.9%? so that 0.01% throw bottles at bellamy and then moved to the other side to throw coins at suarez?
[/quote]

0.01% does not represent one person. Work it out.

99.9 % of Evertonians are right thinking ? Laughable.

So if 0.01 % of the crowd misbehaved then only 4 people threw stuff on Saturday ? Yeh right.

I don't think neil's saying it does, but his maths are cr@p even so. 😉

I don't think we shouldbe sitting here all smug, I seem to remember a mobile phone being thrown at Rooney, a burger at Gary Neville, and numerous lighters being throw at to ronaldo.

Everton will start fining their fans, which subsequently will pay for their pot to piss in.

Is it wrong I find that funny?

Everton are just trying to minimise the fine they are going to get by doing what every club does every week, look through the crowd troubles to identify trouble makers.

Lets hope the FA make them play there next 3 home games behind closed doors

They'd probably go under with that loss of revenue.

Well yes my maths wasn't wrong but reading of the figures was ! ;D

There's more than 40 wrong thinking Evertonians unfortunately...

Everton are secretly happy to have an extra £5.20 in the transfer kitty following the coin throwing.

According to the papers its Merseyside Police who started this and not Everton at all.

Losing the 'fans' cash might mean the players will have to wash there own kits because Doris the washerwoman will need to be laid off
