Maybe we should wait till the end of the season but I think a "how good was Wenger as a manger discussion" might be worth having.
Personally I think that he looked great when his and his team's only proper rival was Ferguson and Man U.
When the money came into the Premier league and with it a higher standard of coach, he was found wanting somewhat.
Or maybe that was simply him getting old and unable/unwilling to adapt

I remember Ian Wright saying that when he came in he changed loads of things, all the food was being grilled even the broccoli. I think at the time his ideas were cutting edge but he got overtaken by the other managers.

Yeah, when Chelsea came in with lightly sautéing broccoli in non-saturated fats Arsene's days were numbered.

The only plus if the Arse had made it through last night would be to see Chelsea and Spurs fans squirm at the possibility of 4th place not being enough to warrant a CL place.
