Will be interesting to see who plays.

Lucas is suspended against Swansea, there's a fair chance that he'll be starting.
Allen didn't play against City and Ibe only got about 25 mins.
Benteke will most likely start and Sturridge will probably make a 2nd half cameo.

I wonder if Klopp rests Clyne or Moreno.

Possible line up:

-----------------------Mignolet

Clyne---------Skrtel---------Lovren------Moreno

------------------Lucas-------Allen
Ibe------------------Firmino------------Lallana

-----------------Benteke

Another must win game, if we want to finish at the top of the group.

* Lucas/Allen isn't a good combo
* Clyne & Moreno (as you say) should get breathers - I'd start Randall as RB and let Clyne breathe a bit (Moreno hasn't played as much as him).

Screw the top of the group. I want a win because I want a win, and because we desperately need to start kicking ass at Anfield. The team need more confidence at home and a string of home wins will lift the crowd too.

Need to see the likes of Bogdan, Kolo, Allen, Ibe, Benteke and the kids come into this. I think he'll still field a very strong team considering how he wants to treat this poxy cup.

Klopp said something about Henderson being ready for the weekend game.
Bench role against Bordeaux maybe?

Ah right, bench would make sense then.

We're quite light with decent options for MF until he's back. Lucas has to play, and Can probably does too.

Hendersons' own comments didn't sound that optimistic (as in being ready for Thursday), more like "on the mend, be back soon".

I want to see us win this match and top the group, giving us an easier tie in the KO stages. The way we are playing, and with players coming back from injury, we could yet go on to win it ..... and gain a free pass into the CL as well as another Euro trophy for the cabinet.

Those dropping out from the CL don't look too strong that we couldn't handle them on a good day.

-----------------------Mignolet

Clyne---------Skrtel---------Lovren------Moreno

----------- Milner ----------------Lucas

Ibe------------------Firmino------------Lallana

---------------------Benteke

IF Henderson is ready for the weekend then one of those two (Milner/Can) will likely be the one to give way. Milner's just had a rest anyway so he can definitely start this match. Maybe Allen will replace Can for this one. There will be time to rest Clyne/Moreno when Flanno returns (early Dec. I think it is).

---------------------Mignolet------------------------
Clyne-------Toure---------Lovren------Moreno
----------------------Lucas--------------------------
-----------Milner---------------Allen----------------
Ibe------------------Benteke-----------Lallana--

Clyne---------Skrtel---------Lovren------Moreno

------------------------Lucas

----------- Milner -------------- Can

Ibe------------------Firmino------------Lallana

4-3-3-1 formation, nice!

I know it's not his style but I'd rest loads of the team who are playing against Swansea.

Mad that we've only got three CBs in the squad now that Sakho and Gomez are fucked. I'd rest Skrtel, if we lose him now we're doomed

If we win, we should be guaranteed to go through next stage so be tempted to play a decent team (resting the likes of Cliyne and Skirtl)

Isn't Tex unavailable for the EL? I feel like we had a long thread on this last time.

I want to see:

--------------Mignolet--------------
Clyne---Skrtel---Lovren---Moreno
--------------Lucas------------------
---------Milner---Allen------------
---Ibe--------------------Firmino
-------------Benteke--------------

Firmino, Couthino and Clyne rested.

Bring in Ibe and a couple of other 'kids'

Lucas is suspended for the Swansea game, but Henderson will probably have a chance to start. I will go out on a limb and say he will start in a midfield 2 with Can as his partner (somehow I don't think pairing Milner and Hendo is the best idea. Allen could actually be a decent partner for Hendo in some games.).

In this case it would make sense to rest Can and start Lucas and Milner in the midfield 2 vs Bordeaux. I suspect that for this home game Klopp will select a more attack-minded lineup than away vs City, so a 3rd CM will likely be replaced by a CF (Benteke). I think the front 4 could be Benteke, Firmino, Ibe, and Lallana, with Sturridge coming in for Firmino after 60 minutes or so. In defense we don't have many options other than possibly replacing Clyne or Moreno with Randall. I'd like to see more of Bogdan, so maybe he can get an unexpected start?

--------------------Bogdan-------------------
Randall-----Skrtel----Lovren----Moreno
-------------Lucas------Milner--------------
Ibe---------------Firmino--------Lallana--
-------------------Benteke--------------------

Subs: Mignolet, Clyne, Toure, Allen, Can, Origi, Sturridge

Klopp loves playing Clyne, so I cant see him being rested, more likely to be Moreno, I also reckon Kolo will start instead of Skrtel, other than that I reckon you've got the team.

If Kolo starts, he'll probably pull his hamstring after 30 minutes and then Skrtel would have to come in anyway. I wouldn't risk it.
