There's very little movement from the England players when they have the ball. Most of them only come to life when the opposition has the ball. Weird.
It's embarrassing watching us chase shadows against Algeria. Really embarrassing. I don't think I've ever seen a side with so many top class players look so ordinary (previous England performances aside). It's quite amazing really.
How we miss a talented playmaker in the middle of the park. Barry has been decent in terms of getting back and making challenges, but he's been fucking shit in possession. Ditto Lampard. The only one who looks capable of making something happen is Gerrard and he appears to be wandering about the field wondering what to do with himself.
Get Joe Cole on and take Heskey off. Go 4-3-3.

That lump Heskey up front. Show me all the statistics you want. He has been a player in decline almost a decade now. If we want to play with someone who will tend to cause cynical long ball shit, why not one that scores goals? The main issues with England for years now have been Lampard and Gerrard being crowbarred in, and no left sided player. England start this game with Gerrard on the left, and the whole shape of the team looks fucked. Less than the some of its parts, shit, awful.

I have heard hundreds of times that Stevie G carries Liverpool alone... But even him need at least players on Lucas level to do something at all. Fat Frank and Barry have been utter shite.. Heskey reminds me of the pool days when he received the ball harder than he shot it.. And Rooney? Why so fukin uninspired???
