El-Hadji Diouf accuses Steven Gerrard of racism following autobiography criticism

El-Hadji Diouf has hit back at Steven Gerrard’s claims that he didn’t care about football, and that playing for Liverpool was a distraction to his social life.
Diouf was signed by Gerard Houllier for Liverpool on the back of an impressive World Cup campaign with Senegal in 2002, but after just 3 Premier League goals in 3 seasons, the Senegalese left Anfield as a spectacular flop.
Speaking to Senegalese radio station Radio Future Media, Diouf replied to Gerrard’s criticism with a dubious claim, accusing Gerrard of racism.
Diouf even says that he warned Mario Balotelli of this, and again dubiously claims that Stevie G’s intolerance of the Italian backs up his claim.
‘We all saw how he made life difficult for Mario Balotelli at Liverpool. I warned him. Liverpool isn’t a team that accepts black people unless they are English.
“It’s common knowledge. Gerrard has never liked black people. When I was at Liverpool, I showed him I was black, that I wasn’t English, but that I’m no pushover. All the time I was there, he never dared looked me in the eye.”
