Been told a couple of senior LFC players tore strips off the boss after Saturday's defeat, after he'd "had a go" at Kolo.

Won't use the word used to me about the dressing room but it wasn't "harmonious".

Don't shoot the messenger and all that, just passing it on. One thing I'll say is it needs sorting - obviously.

I didn't watch the game ... Was Kolo that bad? Will Rodgers lose the team with this attack on one of our most popular players?

Think he was a bit shit in possession, panicky and picking poor passes. No worse than some of the others.

I wonder who has the balls to say anything to the manager? Sturridge/Henderson/Lucas give me the impression they'd all have a go if they thought it was right.

My spider sense tells me Brendan's on borrowed time. Sad though because I really want him to succeed. I think it's not because I like him (a lot) but because I really can't be arsed going through another managerial change, 3 yrs plan, rebuilding, etc.

Same, it'll be the same shit with a new face. Regroup, rebuild, compete.

I'd be more worried if everybody was in great form after that performance.

Disappointing if true. There were very few players on Saturday had any right to open their mouths after that performance.

James Pearce usually knows:

I'm certainly not aware of any 'bust-up' and the idea that the manager is facing a 'dressing room crisis' is ridiculous. Rodgers had a meeting with the players on Sunday but he does that the day after every game.

Were voices raised? Did various players say their piece? Of course they did. I'd be very concerned if that hadn't happened after such a disastrous performance against Arsenal.

Who is the backroom 'beast' who can instill discipline and act as a force multiplier for Brendan now Stevie is going/gone?

I can't imagine Hendo shouting at players to buck up? Where are the leaders?

I imagine it was like the scene in goodfellas.

Kolo: Now go home and get your fuckin' envelopes.
Rodgers: Mother fuckin' mutt! You, you fucking piece of shit!
Kolo: Yeah, yeah, yeah, come on, come on, come on!
Rodgers: Motherfucking... He bought his fucking button! That fake old tough guy! You bought your fucking button!
Rodgers: You mother fuck... Fuck! Keep that motherfucker here, keep him here!

so Kolo is dead?

Kolo was shite and deserved a kick up the arse. Mignolet saved his arse a couple of times in the first ten.

So Rodgers buy a 20 million pound asset to lead the defence and has a go at the poor fucker he has to use ahead of his big investment.... Nice....

James Pearce usually knows:

He wrote a piece on how Dalglish's job was safe that's eerily similar to the one he's just done on how Rodgers' job is safe. Same stage in the season, same remarks, same air of authority. Pearce does have contacts, there's absolutely no doubt about that, but sometimes he'll misinform on club orders and sometimes they'll deliberately misinform him. It's how it's always been for the Echo's correspondent,

It's probably true but big fucking deal, there should be some harsh words spoken and people challenged after that performance.

We are all critical of the lack of leaders and balls in the side, it's about time there's some spirit shown so let's see the reaction tomorrow.

If I was Rodgers I would pick every player who spoke up and told them to man up on the pitch

If I remember correctly, Bascombe not toeing this party line was one of the reasons he left the Echo. Ok he went national but his departure wasn't all his decision. I could be wrong of course.
