Fucking brilliant ha

We're going into the last game of the season with CL qualification on a knife edge. Our lack of depth has shown over the last several games where we've not been able to rest the front three without it having a negative effect on the scoreline. We could have done this more comfortably had we had an extra option, the option we lost when we sold Coutinho.

When we had Coutinho, we had the luxury of rotating the front three without it hitting us hard, it allowed us to rest whoever was needing it. Now we're relying on Solanke and Ings as back up and praying that no more of the first choice players get injured and that those players who've had a dip in form can come up trumps.

Pretty blunt knife.

Have faith rather than constantly worrying.

Hindsight is fucking great. This is like when people said we didn't need a consistent goalscorer last season. Then we bought one and pushed on. Soz for giving a fuck about my team, instead of being a happy clappy "everything's amazballs" type.

Some of us were saying we’d be fine without a replacement. It came close but nevertheless bollocks with the hindsight shite. Soz that you just like to moan.

Coutinho would have been invaluable over the last month, that's the only time we really missed him, however if he stayed I doubt we'd have discovered this perfect balance of attack and defense that we now have, the decision to sell him what a fantastic one, replacement or not.

I don't just like to moan, I said it was daft to leave ourselves so short, it nearly cost us, it was valid point.

We'll go and buy a few players in the Summer, because the squad isn't deep enough. It won't suddenly be that way because of a new transfer window, it's been like that all season and even more so after we lost Coutinho (and Sturridge, who was at least figuring in squads before January). We were already short and then we sold one of our best players. We were really lucky we didn't get a bad injury to one of the front three, or it would have been game over.

That is the first pic I've done for like a year. I used to do it all the time. I'M GETTING BETTER. My brainz must be firing back up.
Haha. I was more interested in my he has a fucking IV and Oxygen support for a Knee op?
We didnt bring that fucking scoper doc (the asian Milhouse) back to perform the op did we? Hes misread the brief and removed a fucking Kidney.

Practice for Kiev

I'm sure they're just precautionary. As soon as the treating physician saw that he was referred to him by our own esteemed medical team it would have been prudent to immediately put him on life support and round the clock monitoring.

Come on Mark, people were going on about a goal scoring forward to replace Firmino, but we got a super human winger instead. The narrative has changed.
But anyway, if the owners don’t back our manager now with a shitload of money to bulk the squad up with quality, they can fuck off and we’ll never win the league. And our best manager in decades will be off I’m sure.
How he’s managed this upturn in our club’s fortune with negative net spend is beyond me. I don’t think any other manager could have done it.

You're right, and I'm not blaming Klopp, but this whole trend of selling great players and not backing it up, is starting to grate. He's had to sell Coutinho and he's brought in VVD, I'd wager that signing and Keita is where the Coutinho money is already spent.

I'm all for building a great side the so called right way, but we repeatedly fail to capitalise on strong positions - great manager, great first XI, new stand, getting ourselves back on the map in Europe.... If they don't back us now, they never will.

You're not going to find a better suited manager to this club, the players and fans love him, everyone is moving in the same direction really, give or take the odd bit of deadwood still left (Moreno, Mignolet, Can), we need to ensure we keep him and the squad happy, because neither Klopp nor our best players will wait around forever for their own ambitions to be matched by the club.

The negative net spend is a fucking disgrace.

November. Holy shit. That's so much shitty luck for him. The way he was playing he could have ended up with a starring role in the CL final & now he's not gonna play in the world cup either & miss almost half the season.

How could they know that?
Surely right now all they can know is did the operation go well.
Rehabilitation can go quicker or slower depending on the player.

Not surprised if true tbh. We all knew what we were getting when we signed him. A player who has talent but a horrendous injury record who has a habit of being out each season for a very long time.

To be honest i was suspected Ox to be injured at some point during the season based on his past record and he almost made it to the end with us. I kinda feel where he has come from they got issues in the medical area as we know Arsenal keep getting these issues with their players.

I think here his mind is in a good state
.. the manager and fans appreciate now what he brings to the team. I am banking on him being ready by late September early October.

Also on Lallana ... I think he looked much sharper than he did in his last comeback this season. Suggests they may have rushed him back before but this time gave him the right amount of time to get back. So we have some sort of option in midfield now.

Honestly this is a horribly cruel blow for Ox, and could potentially end his career at the club. He's going to have lost all the momentum he'd built up this season, it's set him back a year and he'll take some time to get back up to full speed. In the mean time we'll have to sign an additional player to cover him as he'll miss a large chunk of the season. It's going to be a real uphill struggle for him, and I really hope it goes better for him than it has Lallana.

He's 24 & Klopp is very loyal to his players.

There's no way this alone will end his career at the club.

Yeh, my post was ultimate pessimism don't get me wrong, I'm just so gutted for the guy, I really hope he's back sooner than November.
