....Porto have slapped a 34m price tag on the Hulk, having rejected an offer from an English side!

Porto have rejected an offer for striker Hulk, according to the player's agent.

The powerful 22-year-old is attracting interest having impressed in the Portuguese Liga and UEFA Champions League last season.

And Hulk's representative claims an offer has been tabled, reportedly from an English side, with Arsenal and Manchester City said to hold an interest.

Teodoro Fonseca said: "Porto have rejected an offer for Hulk and will only consider a bid of at least €40million (£34m).

"Big clubs from Europe are interested in Hulk, but he is very content in Portugal.

"I do not believe it will be likely that Porto will accept a sale this summer."

2 years ago, if things were equal, Hulk would be valued at around £10m (can you think of anyone we might have signed like that?).

The market has been moved on, so everything increases. Torres today would cost £40m, min (in the same circumstances, I.e. not counting the last 2 seasons).

Sorry, but are you having a laugh? Inflation hasn't just increased by 50% for each of the last two years, I don't know if you are aware but there is a little bit of a 'panic' around the world due to money!

Torres (not counting the last two years) two weeks ago would have still cost £20m-ish, the only thing that has affected the world market is Perez and his fucking retarded spending plan and the arabs at Citeh, which means everyone wants a bit of the cash.

Hulk is still a £10m-ish striker, and an average one at that.
