I won't be going back to Old Trafford unless it's on a corporate invite or whatever, because last year was really bad and I should have just stuck at the 4-1, I mean it's unlikely to get better than that.
I know it won't be a popular view but I reckon this fixture should just be for the kids. If you're too old to be playing professional footy you're too old to be going to Old Trafford, that's my view. We should pack off our best 4000 lunatic teens with bags of coke and party packs of cider and tell them to get on with it, for Sparta.

This!
Its all very well in the cold light of day to moralise about unsavoury chanting, but it has most definitely become tit for tat - if you're sitting there watching literally hundreds of fans mime being crushed, whilst thousands of others chant "murderers"/ "you kill your own fans" I can see why you would want to get into a bit of retaliation.
As an aside I very very very rarely here the Munich song at Anfield (and have in actual fact seen it shouted down by our own fans on the rare occasions it has been started up) - yet it gets an airing at Old Toilet where we get loads of abuse...funny that...
I guess the point being made by posters earlier in the thread about supporting from Europe/further afield is that you probably get more opportunity for logical reason, and dont run into this bullshit quite so regularly; therefore when you do encounter it, you are likely to be more shocked/surprised.
And I also agree with Krump's sentiments - youve got to be mental going there without being prepared to see some unpalatable sights both from our own and opposing fans - taking your mrs or the kids? Retarded. "Reasonably" you should be able to, but then again "reasonably" you should be able to go for a starlit walk through Newham with your dearly beloved and not run the risk of both of you getting robbed and bummed to death....
