For those who can't tell he's shouting "Munich", "Munich".....

I understand the circumstances, it's the great north-west derby. Biggest game in England.
But considering how devastating Hillsborough was and how sensitive it is in Liverpool,
no Liverpool fan should ever use tragedies of other clubs as means to taunt them.

To be honest both sets of fans are as bad as each other, UTD fans where just as bad and where chanting 96 was not enough. It's all pretty pathetic to be honest.

Maybe he was just being nice and reminding them of there champions league success? Nice guy if you ask me.

Yes, thank you for that insight. From Sweden.
What has where he's from got to do with anything? Yet again?

Do only Liverpool folks decide what's right and wrong to chant at Man United?

Was about to ask the same thing.

Of course. You know that, you have to be "local" to have an opinion in his eyes.

Some of our fans shouted Munich, their fans shouted 96/Hillsborough/Heysel. It's the same every match and nothing new. There will always be cunts that do this sort of thing.

Well arent you right on.
Well according to Brendan I'm wrong about everything so...

Well, let me think about this for a second...or two....er....yeah. Yeah I am.

If you're trying to imply that the often uncomfortable intracies and nuances of Liverpool FC support, especially in the context of Everton or Manchester United, can be readily and immediately understood by someone from fucking Sweden, or indeed ANYWHERE apart from Merseyside, then I would have to most respectfully, laugh in your fucking face.

You don't have to be from Liverpool or Manchester to know that taunting over an event which ended with the death of people is wrong.

I'm not Jewish but I know that making jokes about the Holocaust to a Jew is not the right thing to do.

In fairness tho to defend Brendan, what's the fucking point of this thread?

With all due respect, I think that the event known as the 'Holocaust' has a cultural and ethical weight that...isn't really *there* for ...'Munich'

There was a lot more than one disgraceful fan at the game yesterday.

My younger cousin was sitting in front of the away section, he got pelted with coins and seats.
United fans sang any number of anti-scouse songs, constant chants of "murderers" and sang every song they had about Heysel and Hillsborough.
Quite. And its the same everywhere. I dont see the point of the thread. And i dont really care that that lad is singing Munich. I wouldnt, but then im not him. And not arsed.

Jesus Christ...
I really don't know what your on about.
Does it matter if I understand the "intracies and nuances" of Liverpool FC support in relation to Everton and Man U?

You should never steep to that level. Throwing a tragedy like Hillsborough in someones face that's a death sentence IMO.

The principle is the same though. As you well know.

I disagree.

But as we've already established, the matching of my own morals and values to, for example, yours, is something I have no interest in attempting, because I don't fucking care

I saw this video posted on a football blog and I felt disgusted.
Your indifference to this seems to imply that it's OK, which surprises me to say the least.
Just because Man U fans are behaving like cunts doesn't mean that we have to follow suit.

Which is something that I take enormous comfort and relief knowing.

Great choice of words, which kind of proves my point in many ways.

Cheers.

Still don't understand.

Football fan in being a shouty rude wanker SHOCK.

Modo - please ignore Brendan and just let him be. I understand why you posted this, and the fan/s are pricks for singing this but c'est la vie.

Wow, there's a lot of fuss in here over someone making a statement so obvious it really didn't need saying. I think Brendan is probably responding to the fact that it's bizarre to feel a need to moralize from a distance about something everyone agrees on anyway.

But yea, wrong man does wrong things. It was wrong. We can see the wrong in that wrong youtube. We're all better than him and not wrong.

Oh Whadders. Just take your licks, lid.

I've fucking *done* the disinterested fuck off not arsed about what you say post.

You, therefore, can't just repeat it back to me.

It makes you seem weak and hapless.

I don't think that's what's being said at all, Ali. But it really doesn't matter.
