Lucas Leiva’s proposed transfer from Liverpool to Galatasaray is off, according to the Turkish club’s sporting director.
Levent Nazifoglu has told reporters in Istanbul that a move for the Brazilian has collapsed, and that the club will now pursue alternative targets

So they refused to take on M.E. (Myalgic Encephalopathy).

To put us back on topic, I think the defence is improving. If we can just Stay On These Roads then I'm sure the back four of Clyne, Matip, Lovren and Milner will end up like Shapes That Go Together and their organisation will scare The Living Daylights out of an opposing strikers.

He was Paal Waaktaar and then married Lauren Savoy. Nothing more than that really.
Their child is called True August... I kid you not.

Interesting name for a kid, still trumped by Pilot Inspektor Lee though! Jason Lee apparently took his inspiration from the Grandaddy song "He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's the Pilot". Young Pilot is going to love that when he's older.

We could have easily conceded 3 against Leicester, Vardy should have scored the one-on-one, and Huth hit the bar. In a game we absolutely bossed. That's the problem, a game we ran away with in the end could easily have become a problem because of soft defending.

Whichever way you dress it up, defending is a problem for us. It's wishful thinking that we can win the title by outscoring other teams, because there will be patches where we're not firing on all cylinders, or where key players aren't available, and that's when it becomes an issue because our problems will still be there and we might not have the goals to bail us out.

I think Matip is a good addition, but even he isn't without a mistake or too, he went to ground easily in one game that cost us a goal, and he was poor at the weekend. Klavan has made mistakes too, Clyne has cost us in a few games, while the keeper issue is up in the air.

Our system hasn't really changed much, we're still incredibly expansive in our approach, we still fail to defend setpieces well. Until we sort that out, we're banking on too much luck to see us through, like a few years back. I think we will sort it out, or at least improve, but defensively at the moment we're still in more or less the same place as we have been in recent years. 10 goals conceded in 7 games, on that form we're looking at 54 goals conceded over the season. Nowhere near good enough.

There were some comparisons between Son and Suarez which is stretching it more than a bit. He has looked good in the highlights I've seen, but then I guess the Son Always Shines On TV.

Someone should punch the living daylights out of them for that comparison. I don't see their train of thought at all. No one is like Suarez, you'd be hunting high and low trying to find a replacement for the guy.

Offense wins you games but defence wins you titles. While we are scoring loads of goals and winning games we still need to get our defence sorted. They are improving. Games like against the Chavs and Swansea would have been lost in previous seasons. We are showing great resilience and that never say die attitude will win us many more points to come.

The jury is out on Karius. The keeper and defence must improve.

Ha, Roland you cheeky scamp - winning games also wins you titles!

On only seven occassions has the team with the highest goal difference failed to win the Premier League. On only one of those seven occassions has that team not finished second (Spurs, finishing 3rd last year).

Blackburn Rovers won the league without recording the highest goal difference, as did Leicester City last season - so two clear anomalies from the pool of seven.
