I ment that I hope the bid is from the Sheik himself. I didn't even look or open Ross link mate.

All I know is that Al-Ansari isn't working for DIC anymore.
 
The point is the article is wrong anyway as someone has touched on, DIC did not try and buy us the last time, it was Sheik Mo himself, which is a whole different ball game.
There is no reason why Al Ansari could not be involved in negotiations.
DIC are in the do's, but that is no reason why they would see this as a good way of looking forward.
Sheik Mo's son in law is one of the Abu Dhabi crew, and has a bit of a hike in terms of wealth and stature following the death of one of the Mansour relatives in March

Since I'm almost out of hope this season, I choose to believe new ownership is tied up and those Benzema, Tevez and Turan deals are really happening.
 
If ture, DIC have played a long and patient game, that alone is evidence as to how bad they want it, and hopefully a real desire to do right by the club.

I just wish the sale and new manager business would all get tied up as soon as, cos this season has been soul destroying unlike any other I've ever known as a Liverpool fan.

There is light at the end of the tunnel and I hope that its the Sheikh looking to buy us. I just can't wait for the deal to be done and the return of some stability to the club.
 
What i dont understand is just how much juice another asset stripper can get out of the club... they must have the required finance to actually make a go of it. And with squad as it will be, minus an experienced manager minus Torres minus mash and probably minus Gerrard they will need deep pockets.

This DIC bid is just weird IMO, in fact i'm not sure if i believe in it at all.

G&H were/are not asset strippers. The worth of Liverpool if you simply stripped all it's assets don't equal either the purchase price G&H had previous, or any of the prices quoted now. People don't buy football clubs to strip them of assets.

I mentioned to Pete about a month ago that even here (via a Canadian friend in finance and with no knowledge / interest in football, who was visiting Shanghai) that this guy, whose colleague worked on selling the ice hockey franchise for Gillett, said that it was a done deal we were being sold to an Arab. Take that for what it's worth (probably nothing) but he was surprised it wasn't yet out in the open.

On the subject of an Arab buyer, I and a number of others on here belong to the school of thought that reckons Broughton's appointment is indicative of something being in the works already, and Sheikh Makhtoum is a prime candidate for that. Fingers crossed.
