They must be really really REALLY bad at the offside trap.
Hehe yeah but even then he's still got to hit the target!

Maybe its just the Chavs? Who'd have thought that Lukaku, Torres and Shevchenko would all suddenly turn shit for them?

Ok, so bbc says Darwin's nearly done. I'm guessing the Mane deal will be done at the same time to help pay for it and so we're not stuck with him on our wage bill?

Not all players take well to going abroad - e.g.Rushy being a flop in Italy having gone there at the top of his form, Aspas for us more recently etc. Maybe Werner's just too much of a homeboy to flourish outside the Bundesliga.

Incidentally we dodged a bullet in not signing him.

I haven't got any data for you but for me Sancho was the final straw. I always thought he looked pretty underwhelming in those compilations they do but he scored so many goals at such a young age that I just convinced myself I must be wrong.

Well turns out he actually is a bit shit after all. Just like Keita and Werner etc.

So I'm done. I dunno what's going on. Maybe the total dominance of Bayern just really fucks everything up there or something.

Too early to right Sancho off.

Although the window is “open”, this is just for filing of paperwork etc, deals can be approved but they won’t actually complete until 1 July - so Mane will be in our wage bill until then and Darwin will be on Benfica’s.

Forgotten about Sancho. Excellent addition to the confirmation bias. And I've seen people say it's too easy to rite him off since but nope. He's at manure. If he had a chance it's gone. Been put through the Old Toilet deskilling machine, might as well retire.

Severe case of bottle deficiency innit. Left Man.City and the competition there for the Bundesliga, did well there for a good club with the pressure off, comes back to the Prem and a sh!t show of epic proportions and whaddya know, he wilts like a todger in a hard frost again.

I just don't think he looks very good. I never did. He just had such a great record that it was hard to look past. Doesn't seem particularly skilful, and quite slow for a winger. I could probably pick 6 or 7 young wingers in the PL I'd take ahead of him.

What, looking after your parents and giving them something back is weird?
I would bet it’s the norm. Nearly every footballer who makes it boxed off their parents. Even Jon Otsemebor paid off his mums house when he signed his pro contract.

Im thinking bigger picture for the coming year. FSG wont want to buy a replacement but be stuck with Manes wages if his deal goes south. The wage structure is a big driver - probably some wriggle room but think we really only have room for five attackers:

Bobby, Mo, Mane, Jota, Origi

Bobby, Mo, Mane, Jota, Diaz (Origis replacement bought in early)

Bobby, Mo, Jota, Diaz, Darwin (Mane off)

If Mo's out next my gut says we might extend Bobby and not try and replace two slots at once.

Im discounting Mini as I dont think hes on a lot of money and was never really an option in the league. Same with anyone else, like Keita or Ox, who played as forwards at times. It's crying out for one of the youth to show up.

Mane will go.. if not Bayern, then Marseille (or PSG or Madrid) will probably swoop in.

Don't panic.
