LOLOLOL

If hes with us 5 years, unless he renews or he signs for longer than 5years, he'll walk away on a free.

So if he comes, after 3 years FSG will see if it's worth extending his contract or cashing in...

Ok so how's this...

80M now, becomes 40M outlay with sale of Mane
We sell Derwood in 6-7 years (after he signs a contract renewal) for about 80M (inflation)
We make 40M - Saved a few mill on Mane wages in the process.

Fair enough?

PS: Name the 1960s TV show that I stole a joke from above

Didn't you have a feeling Lucas Moara was going to be a beast in the PL? Klopp's gets a lot more right than wrong, just have faith. Yes, the fee is outrageous, but thats the market.

I have full faith in Klopp, I have no doubt he sees him as something akin to lewandowski when he got him at Dortmund ,which makes me think that maybe next season we are going to have serious change in our game approach. With regards to Lucas and any player - I think it depends on which coach they turn up working for, Klopp's players are hit and miss when they leave him. I just think we are desperate for someone in midfield with pace and energy.

It's a huge gamble for sure.

We need a VVD / Alisson style pay off because we're kinda fucked if he ends up another Keita (or worse).

Just have to hope he's the real deal.

While he's probably the biggest gamble of the Klopp era in terms of fee/proven ability what bothers me most about this transfer is that if we are paying such a high price now there is not much financial upside. He basically has to improve drastically just to maintain his value, to increase in value he will need to be incredible. It's very unlike us to make this kind of deal.

I’m very excited about Uruguayan Benteke.
Were you that guy on KT who had a signature that read "Cisse is the French Heskey until proven otherwise"? The next line was Cisse's latest stats.

For some reason that really irked me

Well i think its wonderful we are able to compete at the top table for signings.

The last 2 (and only 2) massive signings were Ali and Virg. They went ok...

We also have signings like Carvalho which can make the cash.

This one can make us the trophies...

I think the last big signing everyone was so on the fence about was Mane - most people thought we overpaid, he was streaky and didn’t look like a 20-goals-per-season striker or a sexy winger everyone wanted and everyone thought it was so “uncreative” to sign yet another player from Southampton. We also beat United to his signature - bodes well…

There have been many different sources ‘revealing’ the numbers behind the reported Darwin Nunez deal but Fabrizio Romano has confirmed different figures to others.
As reported by the 29-year-old: ‘Reports of Darwin Núñez salary for €250.000/week are considered wide of the mark by Liverpool sources. Figures would be lower – salary would include add ons.

Based on his goal compilation, he’s more like an anti-Carroll (apart from being good in the air). Watch this and tell me he’s not fast, predatory and has quick feet…

These people comparing him with Carroll – did they actually watch him against us? His pace was an absolute weapon against us, and he sprung our off side trap a few times. His skill in tight positions was amazing. This is like when we signed Salah and we had all the Egyptian Pennant brigade.

Nope.

I had a much lower opinion of Cisse.

Exactly. His audition to join consisted of two champions league quarter finals, playing for an inferior side against one of the top 3 sides in Europe (with quite possibly Europes best back line and keeper).
His response? Score 2, put away his one on ones against our unbeatable keeper and generally unnerve our back line single handedly to the degree that the best CB in the world included him in his top 5 most difficult strikers he’d played against.
But he’s the next Carroll etc..,
