I don't think it's such a bad thing that it doesn't matter anymore. European footy is well better. Back when there was only one English side in the European Cup it was clearly the big other trophy that everyone wanted to win, and that grew in stature when everyone was banned in the 80s... but now, what's the point when you can watch Suarez megging Sideshow Bob on a Wednesday night?

They could massively improve the relevance of the cup by swapping the 4th place CL spot with the winners. As it is it's got the feel of a pointless friendly to me. Winning it wouldn't come close to sorting out how disastrous this season has been, swapping our CL place with them cunts down the road.

I don't disagree with any of that and us potentially winning the FA Cup might well 'paper over the cracks', but really we can't pick and choose which trophies to go for in our current state. Furthermore a Cup Semi and/or Final is always a guaranteed great day out for fans (regardless of which Comp) and you'd like to think lifting the FA Cup would bring more belief and wotnot to the squad and stand us in good stead for future success.

Really? I'm not even staying up to watch it I'm that meh about it.

Tape it, get up early, fast forward through the injuries, hopefully we win. It won't affect my day either way if we win or lose. I'm no better or worse a supporter than any of you because of that by the way, I guess football just doesn't mean what it used to.

I don't even love the game these days. I just can't empathise with any of it. Maybe Gerrard winning it would do it for me I guess.

It's vital we attack in numbers. Sterling up on his own is crap. And Coutinho needs to pick a pass early. When he waits for all of his options to line up across the edge of the area he goes for silly through balls that are easily cut out.
