Coutinho replacements

Bernardo Silva at City might be a shout for the summer, he's gone there and warmed the bench , think he could be a boss Coutinho replacement if we could avoid the prem to prem premium

We are comparing him to Coutinho, not Henderson, Can and Wijnaldum.
Yeah we are and his stats this season are comparable to Coutinho (7 goals and 6 assists in the league) but i was highlighting the fact that we need a creative player who scores a few goals as Henderson Can and Wijnaldum are not up to that job.

Anyone interested in Pavon? Is drawing interest from all the big European clubs. 27m release clause.

Pavon would be a great signing*, and I feel sure that my work-in-progress chant about him would be a smash hit with the travelling Kop

To the tune of the old Ariston advert from the 80s.

It's Pavon!

This one?

How much would Lanzini cost?

The word on the street (Huggy bear told me) is that it would be about 40 million.

Well, it doesn't fucking matter. It's less than a week ago we sold Coutinho and the consesus was no more South American Barcelona drooling smackheads. We want to strengthen Our Afcon team With Young hard working technical skilled boys in their late 20's/early 30's!!

Just trying to keep up

The 'mystery' player thing has been reported by actual journalists or just the firm and indy from Twitter?

Just trying to keep up

The 'mystery' player thing has been reported by actual journalists or just the firm and indy from Twitter?

Here's a summary of how this mystery man fever has been drumming up on social media the last couple of days:

We first heard about the mystery man in Anfield Index's interview with Jason Burt, who broke the Coutinho move. Key points from the interview are in this post https://redd.it/7ordls
On the mystery man, he says:
-Suspects Liverpool won't buy this month
-Liverpool want special young talent to replace Coutinho
-Jason says he has a clear idea of who Liverpool want Says the player who Liverpool wants isn't achievable this month
-Has been asked not to run the story yet
Then today Jonathan Northcroft who is a good journalist from The Sunday Times was also interviewed by Anfield Index, and @LFCZA threaded his comments here:
On the mystery man, he says:
-I do know who the player is who Jason Burt was referring to. I think the player is doable."
-The player Jason was talking about is a player who #LFC have been interested in for some time. I think anyone who comes in will be of that ilk. There's been a good deal of good transfer planning"
-"I wouldn't expect any fresh names. This player has been linked with #LFC before. If anyone does come in, it would be someone who #LFC have been looking at for some time"
Both Burt and Northcroft mention that they think Lemar's likeliest destination is Arsenal, and say that they don't think Mahrez is a target, so it's not them.
Many people had suggested that the player might be Pulisic, especially after Raphael Honigstein said on the Totally Football Show on Monday that he'd "be very surprised if Liverpool weren't in for him next summer"
However when asked on twitter, Honigstein says, "don't think so. mystery man seems to be an immediate target."
So if we consider all of these, it seems fair to say the mystery man is not Lemar, Mahrez or Pulisic. However, there is some contradiction between the descriptions, as Burt said the player isn't achievable this month, but Northcroft says the player is 'doable' and Honigstein says they're an immediate target.
What do we reckon?

No ones got a fucking clue have they - every day on the train I am just looking for transfer rumours related to LFC, and every cunt is repeating the same shit the same names and then linking them with united or us or Arsenal. The only club that seems to have a clean record of not being related to anyone other than the obvious is Man City. I think I understand whats going on - every news outlet has looked at players that want to move and they know we have a bit of money now and are just lazily linking them to us. I mean can you imagine some of the shit that is going around with FSG's history ? you got some tosser out their linking us to a Serie A 29 year old playmaker thinking we may be in for him at 53M pounds or even that 27 year old Strootman for 45M. I think its clear with FSG that they will only consider a big money buy if the player is 26 years old or under. Anything older and we are looking at a maximum of 5M-20M. So to conclude I have decided that:-

1) Klopp thinks the current squad is good enough and without Coutinho he is not shackled by us and the media.
2) He thinks Lallana is the answer to all his pressing prayers even though as talented as he is by the time he reaches the final third he has no energy for a decent shot.
3) The whole transfer window was just planned out illuminati style by Klopp and FSG from the summer - set the price for Coutinho and buy two players in VVD+Keita.
4) We really are just fucking idiots - no replacements were actually in mind with Cuntinho leaving - we had no plan - very likely knowing us.
5) No one decent actually wants to come to us and we can't afford to buy them and also compete with the others on salary/wages.

Ah well - here's to another 30 years of waiting for an Arab Sheik to buy us out of this mess.
