I'm not a betting man so I don't understand the ouch bit. Anyone care to explain?
Does it mean that for every £1 bet placed on the game ending with no corners, the payout is 1000? £15 bet on that will be £15000. The game ended with no corners last night.

*I think* betfair is one of those betting sites where 'ordinary' people bet against each other. So rather than william Hill's or Paddy Power coughing £15k it was an 'ordinary' bloke.

Oh yeah, but this is what a lot of the pro's do. High stakes for low profit. Look at the markets on any big event and there are thousands of pounds to match between 1.01 and 1.05.

I realise this, and that is why I'll never be a pro gambler.
A) I will never have £15k I'm prepared to lose on a single bet and
B) If I did it wouldn't be at 1000/1 on!
