Liverpool's Spanish youngster Daniel Pacheco has agreed a new three-year deal with the club.
The diminutive 18-year-old has followed in the footsteps of academy graduates Jay Spearing and Stephen Darby by signing a new contract at Anfield.
Pacheco, who joined Liverpool from Barcelona in 2007, has yet to make a senior appearance for the club but was involved in the Reds' pre-season tours of Switzerland and the Far East.
The Spanish youth international has been a regular in Liverpool's youth and reserve sides over the past two years and now hopes to make the breakthrough into Rafael Benitez's senior squad.
Another Anfield prospect, 18-year-old Nathan Ecclestone, is also reported to be close to signing a new deal.
However, Craig Lindfield will leave the club after his Liverpool contract was terminated by mutual consent.
The 20-year-old has not been able to break into the first-team over the past few years and spent last season on loan at Accrington Stanley.
