Confirmed Summer Transfers 2023

I believe 1 poster was super excited at that, yes. Everyone else thought 15m for a decent midfielder who COULD be decent. It didn't pan out that way and he became a squad option, which at 15m isn't too bad

50m for a squad option however...no. Absolutely not

Again you have the price tags too contrived in your head.

Allen was signed like 10 years ago now.....If Naby was signed 10 years about how much do you think he would've cost?

You can't compare price tags to players now to 10+ years ago, every year the market gets more crazier than the last.

Torres was signed for 20m.....15 years ago, Nunez for 65/80m last year. Xabi was signed for I think 30m.....15 years ago, Ox was signed for 35m 5 years ago.

So fucking what, this is how the market is.

Was he yeah? No. He was awful, consistently awful. A worst signing than a 50% of a 50% Keita.

Allen could only dream of doing some of the things Naby did on the pitch.

I’m trying to remember something Keita did other than ballooning that shot high and wide in the CL Final last season….

Nope… that’s about it…

Scored a screamer against Chelsea, another screamer against Palace and 3rd screamer against Atleti.....also scored in the rout at old trafford last season out generally outclassed their whole midfield that day.

Scored en route to winning the CWC, our first ever CWC.....also starting and performing brilliantly in both games.

Put in various other MOTM performances against Bournemouth & in the CL v Benfica.

Like I say, I know his injuries and time on the treatment table can & will easily overshadow anything he did on the pitch...that's just how it is.

Which games was it he was subbed at half time for being completely gash?

Sorry, games… plural?

Cba to go down this road any longer, really not worth for it & I've said everything I wanted to say....not going to repeat myself.

Any confirmed transfers out there?

Oooh Ashley Barnes to Norwich on a free, glad we don't have to put up with that little cunt next season.

Kevin Strootman. Remember him? Seems like he's been around forever and a day.....that's because he has! Now at Genoa.

Keita will go down in history as the worst transfer ever.

Jordan Henderson doesn’t think so…

Naby Keita is a cult figure with our fans and I can tell you the affection for him in the dressing room is just as big. His smile lights up the AXA Training Centre. As a player he is one of the most technically gifted I have ever trained with. His quality is a joke. As a person he is extremely humble and gentle.⁣

“Seasons are decided in some of these moments and Naby can look back with great pride for his achievements here. We're going to miss him and I know he'll have a huge impact wherever he goes next.”

What is Hendo supposed to say? The guys leaving, never to darken our doors again. behind his back we can be unpleasant as we like, to his face, we are polite.

LB Lukas Ullrich & centre forward Grant-Leon Ranos to Borussia Monchengladbach on a free transfer

Notice the emphasis is on trained. It's a very clear example of damning with faint praise. Hendo is basically saying he's shit on match days.

'His quality is a joke' could also be interpreted in more than one way!

How often has he been fit to play... I think Andy Carroll played more games

One of the best free transfer options available in the coming transfer window?

I forgot how expensive he was, it's like a repressed memory.
£52.75m Google tells me, fifty two point seventy five fucking millions pounds!!!

I'd say he's given us what I'd expect from a £8-ish million type player

Elijah Gift, 16 year old Spanish Winger is set to leave the Academy for a fee valued at around £1m for Bilboa.
