Tough luck for Ajax, drawing the hardest team in that round (they could've gotten Steaua Bucuresti - i.e. FCSB, Young Boys, Istanbul Basaksehir or AEK Athens instead).

If Ajax qualify (which I hope they do), we won't meet them, as we'll both be seeded in the 4th round.

-- Sevilla
-- Napoli
-- Kyiv (if they qualify from the 3rd round)
-- Ajax (if they qualify from the 3rd round)

So who that is potentially frightening that we still can draw? Tell me this, can we theoretically draw Celtic?
 
Aren't Celtic playign Linfield today (nicely close to the 12th 🙂) in the second qualifying round? So whats with the 3rd round draw - Have UEFA done half of it now & will do the other half later?

It looks as if LFC v Celtic is definitely a possibility. It would be a great occasion and I would fancy our chances but it would be one of the tougher ties.

It would be a massive banana skin. I'd definitely rather avoid.
 
No Celtic for us, they take the Champions route and we are in the League route (Ajax, Nice, Kyiv, CSKA etc.)

No, we can't draw Celtic. For what it's worth, if Celtic do get into the 4th qualifying round for champions, they potentially face teams like BATE Borisov, Legia Warsaw, APOEL Nicosia, NK Maribor, Garabag Agdam, etc. Yeah, you get the picture - that path is rather unremarkable.

Apart from traveling to Moscow to play against CSKA, I think the other clubs that would concern me somewhat would be Nice (if they beat Ajax), Sporting Lisbon and Hoffenheim. Portuguese teams are often tricky, and Hoffenheim had the 2nd best defensive record in the Bundesliga last season, falling short of 3rd spot (behind Dortmund) only by a couple of points.
