While City have David Silva looking as strong as ever and Jesus returning from injury, we have Lovren looking as shit as ever and Clyne returning from Love and hip hop Miami
 
I think when both teams are at their best that there's very little to choose between us and city. They will be as nervous as us. Klopp was a great record against Pep and we have a much better atmosphere. I'm quietly confident.
 
As long as we dont see the 4-3-3 at the Etihad then we can win this....

He needs to alter his tactics for that game...

Take a look at Rafa, go 4-2-3-1

Deffo Put Can and Hendo or Milner as 2 deep CM's and let them come at us.

I’m not buying this Lovren is shit tag at all...

Up until he lost one header against Lukaku he had been playing well for us for a number of weeks.... he will certainly not be the last player to lose a header against Lukaku this season.

I dunno, I just prefer to support the players we’ve got rather than ping them with negative shit.

TAA heading into twitter to apologise... fucking no need son.... yeah we fucked up but.... in truth if it weren’t for the fact that yet again we were playing against twelve men we would have deservedly got our point on Satdy. TAA is only a young lad and he also has shown he’s got a bright future ahead of himself.

We are generally playing fucking well, Lovren included, and I’m gonna get behind em and hope that we finish on a high this year.

You might be surprised but I actually rate Lovren, he's had more good games than shit ones since Klopp took over.
But when he's not on his game he's not just bad, he turns into a fucking calamity. I'd still trust him over Matip who is consistent at being average at best.

Great post @Molbystwin - for some strange reason - I fucking actually loved our overall performance - I mean it was worth it all for that long extra time and just watching their fans shit themselves as we passed it around in their box and having corner after corner. We should of scored though but for some reason in my mind it kind of felt like a win. Also part of me believes that the way 'they' had to play would have taken a lot of shit out of them, and maybe the reason why that entire team looked so stale and lethargic against Sevilla a few days later. Beating us was probably the highlight of their season so far.

Everyone else - I fucking hate the fact we have to face Man City again - I feel scared, and the only comfort I can take is that they maybe feeling all great by the time we visit them at City if they win the title against United. It is the worse possible draw and I like Fox - was hoping that City get Bayern or some Italian team who know how to deal with that wizzy passing shit and throw them out. I actually had no fear of facing the other teams except maybe Sevilla who we have NEVER beaten in three attempts.
 
Why is it scum fans are happy over the qtr game? It means at least one of their two fiercest rival will go into the semi for sure.

It's win win for them I guess - one of the teams they hate the most will go out, and in between they get to play City to stop them winning the title, and whoever wins the CL game will probably find Barca/Real waiting to knock us out. But most likely it means that they think we will go out, as I actually believe we will win the fucking thing if by miracle we get passed Man City which is unlikely at best.

I’m like everyone else, alongside Barca City are undoubtedly the toughest team left in and the second leg away is about as bad draw as we coulda received that said....

I’m already buzzing and it isn’t being played for 2 weeks yet...

And maybe just maybe they will swagger in with their fans thinking they are favourites and it’s all gonna go nicely...

And that’s when we will smash the fuckers.

I was gutted we lost but at the same time it was unusual because apart from two fuck ups we looked like the better team didn’t we.... a strange feeling.... gutted but positive at that same time.

Yeah... I wish Lovren had defended better but he hasn’t been the full on disaster a la Spurs away at all and he is what we’ve got so... I’m 100% behind him. Maybe it’s because we are all hungry for trophies but I used to get pissed off reading negative shit on a daily basis early on in the season, the increase in daily media and mediums for its delivery has gone against my old noggin... This season began with loads of people moaning about not signing VVD... instant negative vibe... which dragged out a while... Just to ensure we couldn’t just smile and hope for the best in game 1 we have the shit reffing and conceded an offside goal in 90th minute and with a thousand tweets and whines we are already clearly fucking garbage and rolling with shitty defense.

From game one the wind was out of our sails, everyone is allowed an opinion of course but on here and elsewhere it just seemed that the negative chatter was in fashion and all the positive vibes had vanished or remained down on the south coast. Klopp out threads.... grow some balls and enjoy the fucking game for God’s sake....

And here I am moaning about people moaning! Ha!

I like everyone else would like a world class player in every position and I also have seen Lovren fuck games up for us... but.... he ain’t a bad player and he hasn’t been playing badly at all.... none of them have in fact....

The disappearance of Matip is odd though, he was a tidy defender last season but this time round he has not been at his best IMO, we’ve also missed Mane in fully lethal mode and Lallana and Clyne....

Dare I say it openly but... we are a fucking good team and really enjoyable to watch...

I can’t wait until we smash them jumped up oil men and I’m hoping we can fuck the hornets up later today.

A rampant European atmosphere at Anfield will for sure be there. I am not to worried by last twenty, rather by the start. It is a big occaccion and the balanced reaction to the atmosphere is needed. This team has never been in this situation before and it is easy, especially for the younger players to be carried away early and feel the pressure to deliver back to the crowd to much too early. They want to win it for us as well, but let's hope they just enjoy it and remember that "normal is enough" because lately normal for us have been real damn good.

The issue wasn't that he lost a header .. it's that he shouldn't have been up there competing for it in the first place ! And it's not the first time he's done this daft shit of running into midfield thereby breaking our back line into pieces .... see Spurs. Klopp referred to this, in so many words, both after the match and in his pre-Watford media chat.

Against City I want to see Matip and not Lovren. Matip might not be a world beater and is sometimes susceptible, but he isn't a loose cannon and is definitely better at passing into midfield.
