City Charged By Premier League

All the wee tiny teams loved it when Rangers came through their league. Suddenly their wee grounds were full for the first time in years, and it was like a circus every time they played. All their games were televised, allowing sponsorship deals to rocket for these clubs like Alloa, Forfar and Peterhead. The likes of Altrincham, Boreham Wood and York City will welcome them with open arms. Their chairman will be rubbing their hands together.

That's because Rangers have fans

I just don’t see it happening.

If found guilty which remains a big IF considering how they’ve managed to dodge this shit thus far, it’ll be a fine and points deduction at worst.
I'm not sure about that - Juve and the FIGC have surely set the benchmark and parallels would be drawn if City only got a slap on the wrist.

I’d they get a slap on the wrist then other clubs would do the same. The Premier League have to go in hard.

The Premier League will go easy, so long as they can find a way to get their slice of Abu Dhabi pie.

In reality - financial penalties will mean nothing to them - they only thing that’ll hurt is tarnished reputation of proven cheating and inability to use City as a “marketing tool”.

I suspect, when it boils down to it - there’s too many cans of worms they don’t want to open up.

A 4 year investigation, followed by protracted legal arguments and interventions, and all being watched by the world's media and other leagues - no way, if they can get this through to a guilty verdict, that it will be a slap on the wrist.

City will get kicked out if they’re guilty of the serious charges. Transfer bans for some lesser ones. The league will not retroactively hand out the title to second place. It will be recorded as no winner.

I think this is the most likely outcome.
I also think the league should levy a huge fine and redistribute that money to other PL clubs in order to avoid the situation of clubs taking legal action. against them (ie handle the damages that would be awarded centrally). As I say, they “should” do this, but I’m not convinced they will. Obviously we won’t get anything because we used their password to get a list of players that we then signed and who were all shit.

OK so say 100m fine and a transfer ban of say 2 years which they will appeal to where ever it can be appealed and end up 50m fine and a 1 window ban. Prem lge can say we tried....

Truth is even 100m fine is nothing to city. The only real punishment has to be relegation and barred from re entering the prem lge for 2 or 3 years if they can get promoted. It has to be a punishment that fits the crime. This shit has been going on for 13 or 14 years even if it was obvious that they have been trying to get their house in order the last couple of years cos this was coming
But then haven't they been still at it of late with this fake betting company sponsor that doesn't have a real ceo, has no followers of note on social media ect.. This is just one sponsorship that city made in last year that they cant check as city have stopped giving info for the last 5 years to the inquiry

Hahahaha bless you all my poor deluded fools of a child. At the end of these legal proceedings they will end up receiving an apology from the premier league alongside compensation for the damage done to their reputation. That damage will be evidenced before the court by this fake betting company's upcoming decision to cease its sponsorship with immediate effect. The rest of the league including us will end up footing the bill for their lost revenue, becoming their de facto replacement sponsors ourselves, becoming the cunts we accused their sponsors of being.

You are looking at it purely in terms of money. That isn't the only way how most teams are punished for financial irregularities. Retrospective points deductions or purely voiding their season(s) and their league championships, transfer bans and relegation. Money won't mitigate those punishments.

Another world is possible.

If the French establishment had had the Daily M*il and the S** on their side this would never have happened. It would have been immigrants and people on benefits on the scaffold.

Well they're up to over 1000 pages moaning about it on the fume, and if we know anything about how this works that pretty much guarantees that they're fucked.

Half of the thousand pages are them saying they aren't worried, and indeed the rest of the league should be worried because they have the best lawyers, and if not that, then kompromat. Not worried at all.

My god I love it when Guardiola gets weird and defensive
I reckon he's a regular over on the conspiracy forum as he's talking about the every other team in the league are out to get them.
He also seems to be rolling back on his 'I'll walk the next day if they lied to me " comments

Have to say it's obvious though that like klopp, he really does get his club's fanbase

Sadly the mass media ruined revolutions, but maybe social media can unleash them again?
There have been promising signs.

Pep is very bullish , can only imagine the club believe they've got away with it and there'll only beminimal repurcussions, which is a bit depressing

Fraudiola’s balls deep in this for sure - he’ll have had secret payments - see how his attitude has changed from “I’ll walk if it’s true!”.

The whopping big twat.

Reporters need to ask it every single press conference..

"Pep, will you still walk if found guilty?
"Pep, will you...

Then just click their tongue at him when he goes into another monorant.
