I am a new poster here, just popping in to brighten up your day with some festive recipes.
First up Spaghetti Bolognese....
For this you want to find the best pasta Bolognese sauce you can find. I suggest Uncle Bens. You want to boil the pasta up until cooked and mix with the sauce from jar. Again I can't stress enough you need to use good quality pasta sauce.
Second up steamed pudding...
You want to get a tinned steamed pudding. I find the Heinz range are good for this, especially the syrup cake type. You want to place the tin into a pan of boiling water. A tip here is to boil the water in the kettle first and then pour into pan. I find this cuts down on cooking time by at least 10 minutes. You want to be boiling the pudding for at least 30 to 40 minutes. Serve with double cream. If you have no cream, just use milk.
Last but not least fruit cocktail...
This is a classic dish and one of my favourites because it's simple. This dish should take you no more than 5 minutes to prepare. First up open the tin of fruit cocktail with a tin opener, it's up to you which type of time opener you use. Just be careful as the tin lid can be quite sharp after you've removed it from the tin. Pour into bowl and eat. Don't serve with milk this time as I found when I tried that it curdled with the juice.
If anyone wants anymore recipes just give me a shout.
