In actual science, only a complete retard would conclude that the variants are the reason for the reduced effectiveness. It's just not how mathematics works. The head of ER in one of our biggest hospitals is a friend ... He's told me 90% of those in ER that are not over 60 and with preconditions are unvaccinated ...
There has been an increase in kids (slight but still increase) getting to hospital ...
I'm guessing based on what I'm seeing/hearing that there's been 100k+/day people getting the Unicorn, and yet, the hospitals are still calm and there's little hysteria. Never know if we'll get hit with another variant - like the False prophet variant - but if we don't, we may finish with this wave by month's end as per a few doctors quoted in media.

BA.2 is increasing in the UK too. Might be slightly more transmissible, but no evidence it can reinfect someone who has had BA.1 or causes worse outcomes.
