Midfield looks a lot more compact than in previous league games, but our left side is a problem - Elliott doesn’t know what to do with the ball when playing on the left and Robbo is strangely lethargic - perhaps also uncomfortable to play with Elliott in front of him. And over on the right it’s not like Milner is dominating his flank either. So we’ve sorted the middle, but now lacking quality on the flanks.

Just as I’m typing this, a first meaningful attack down our left, Elliott, Gakpo and Robertson finally combined. Need much more!
