agree. good match. i was pleasantly surprised by Moratta. I did not expect him to be as good as he was - he performed well against good opposition. Has reasonable pace, great strength and a bit of bite about him. looks like we missed out there.
Yep ... a club that's run very impressively.
They went through a rough patch when they were promoted back to Serie A, thanks mostly to their useless DoF Alessio Secco, who signed the likes of Momo Sissoko, Christian Poulsen, Diego - useless.
Once they got rid of him and brought in Guiseppe Marotta as DoF they recruited very well & are now exactly where they should be in terms of Italy & Champs League - bringing in the likes of Vidal, Pogba, Pirlo, Tevez, Llorente, Lichtsteiner etc.
Count me out of the Juve love-in. I have cousins in Malta who support them and I'll never hear the end of it if they win this.
Agreed. That's why the current scenario is unacceptable to me. We have not one single person at the club with the experience to get us back in there regularly. Finish 2nd, go into CL group, get made to look stupid, drop into EL, get made to look stupid, finish 5th or worse. Everyone at the club needs to raise their game.
Not only that but we don't want England to lose that 4th CL spot .... regardless of how some on here see that 4th spot. Better Italian / French teams fare badly in both CL & EL.

The reality is that the CL is a humongous money-making enterprise that we'd best be part of if this club wants to go forward.

Fantastic performance from Barca and the score doesn't flatter them, on chances they could have won this 8 or 9-2 but Bayern had only one shot on target and that was a wild deflection off Iniesta !

And yet, although they should have conceded 3 or 4 in that first 15 mins it was still 0-0 so he had a chance to rectify it (and did, going to a flat back 4) however I doubt any team could have lived with the brilliance of Barca / Messi this evening.
Sorry people, Messi isn't the best in the world. That is Ronaldo. Messi is from another world - the way he beat Neuer - the best goalie in the world - on his 1st shot ... and that 2nd goal? I mean wow. Fucking hell, he's just incredible.
